I can’t believe I have to write this review in past tense. Jazzy B’s closing down is definitely going to have folks trying to figure out how to satisfy their BBQ needs. The deliciously unique taste of their BBQ is one of a kind. It has you craving for more. The family oriented feeling that you get when you walk in the door, is very genuine. It is something that you don’t find very often anymore. The owners Brandon and Azure Simpson, along with their 3 children, have helped to keep that small, hometown feel that the LS locals who grew up here back before the population sky rocketed, still long for. . I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these entrepreneurs. Being in the restaurant business myself, I know the struggles that are always going to be there. However, as they know the rewards come in all different ways and they can be huge. So instead of being sad that Jazzy B’e closed down, I say, congratulations for so many amazing years of amazing business. For opening your doors for carry out during Covid and not l giving up. Thank you for your delicious BBQ and community support. Hope you enjoy some family time. Don’t keep us waiting too long. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
What an amazing overall experience! We loved everything and everyone! Chatted away and felt welcome! The food was delicious! My daughter had to be sure everyone saw she ate all 6 of her full sized wings! Awesome dinner and great people!
Great food and great people!
The brisket sandwich was very good. The service was great and others in my group said the crab balls and burnt ends were really good. I wouldn't recommend the fried mushrooms. I wasn't a fan of the breading on them.
We went to Jazzys for the first time this week and I was blown away. The food was delicious (Definitely try the crab cakes and adult grilled cheese!), but the atmosphere was one of the best parts. I believe the owner was the one working and he was so wonderful! He made us feel so welcome and like we had known him for years. Top notch customer service. By the time we were eating, it almost felt like we knew all of the other customers in the restaurant. We will be back!
Did a Google search for BBQ restaurants that served burnt ends. Although Jack Stack BE's are delicious, We were tired of the high prices and low amount of BE's received. Jazzy B's was the first to come up on the search. Read the reviews and looked at the pics and decided to pop in last week. The smell was awesome! I spoke with who I believe to be was the owner and he assured me we would enjoy them. I must admit that ate 5 pieces before I made it home and had 6 pieces left over after we ate dinner. Those BURNT ENDS WERE SUCCULENT, TENDER, MEATY, JUICY...THEY WERE AWESOME! We will be choosing to dine in son. Thanks
I have eaten BBQ all over America I grew up eating Kansas City BBQ and nothing else compares. Today I ventured in Jazzy B's Dinner and WOW!! I had the absolute best Burnt ends that i have ever tasted!! These burnt ends could melt in your mouth and truly stole the show! However their fried mushrooms would well be worth a 2500 miles road trip as well. If you have not eaten here you are missing out my friend! I strongly Recommend it! Amazing Staff! Amazing Food! Amazing Period! a million pictures will never do justice to the experience.
We had Jazzy cater our grandma’s 100th birthday party. The barbecue was a huge hit. Jazzy was so accommodating and so great to work with. Next time we are in KC we will make sure to go eat at Jazzy B’s diner.
When visiting KC we try BBQ from more local non-commercialized establishments. After being disappointed at our first stop I picked up some ribs, crab balls and wings from Jazzy B’s. Before even tasting the ribs the smoky aroma let me know that I went to the right place. The ribs were succulent and the wings were terrific. The staff were friendly and didn’t have to wait long at all ( I went on a Tuesday afternoon). Once my wife tasted the Q she agreed that it is good. There were TWO young men (I should have got their names) that were very nice when taking orders. It’s nice to see young people who understand customer service .Oh and we just left Jazzy’s AGAIN for the second day in a row.
Jazzy B's has the BEST BBQ I have ever had. And I have had BBQ all over the USA.I photographed my friend's rib dinner which she said was amazing. The burnt ends and brisket were also represented at our table.A couple of others in our group had the crab balls. (So if you prefer seafood, Jazzy has you covered too.)I had the pulled pork, Jazzy fries (with delicious seasoning!), and mac and cheese. And, I had the BEST sweet tea of my life. I am very picky about iced tea and often order water to avoid old or taste-less tea. I was ready to take a GALLON of this tea home.If you are in the Kansas City area, drive on out to the suburb of Lee's Summit. Every bite of food, every sip of tea will make you SO GLAD you did!
