It is incredible how this place can smell so good and taste so terrible; they must have a good smoker and then somehow ruin everything they touch. An absolute trap. There are so many better places to eat with reasonable prices; this is below gas-station quality but pricier than upscale options.
Located in Downtown Lee’s Summit is a treasure of a place called the Filling Station. The BBQ is delicious, the ambiance is fun, and it’s in a historic building. Filling Station BBQ is a wonderful place to eat. With an expansive menu revolving entirely around Barbecue has many delicious choices to choose from making it difficult to choose. The restaurant boasts a smokey aroma, which alone makes you hungry for barbecue if you weren't already. Depsite a lack of parking, the corner it resides on has plenty of side street parking with a short walk to follow. The seating seems insufficient at first but with the outside benches provides plenty of places to sit even with a large group.I will definitely return to try most or all of the items on their menu.
Love their food! The hot sauce is my favorite. Our food came out fresh, hot & timely. Everyone who works there was also very nice & welcoming.
The best food I have ever had, they were nice and awesome to me and my friend. I definitely recommend you go here it is delicious, I got a kids meal and the smoky Joe was awesome.
Filling Station: This was good experience. The burnt ends were very good. The sausage was great. The turkey was good, had a nice smoke flavor. As for the sides, the corn, beans and pasta salad was good. The potato salad not so much. The spicy and regular sauces are the best. You better bring your wallet though, pretty pricey.
My 89 Year old Dad said this was the best thing Grub Hub ever delivered to him in the last 3 years. He went with the 2 meat sandwich, fries, and smoked beans. He loved everything including the BBQ sauce. My Dad is beyond picky and this is his first choice from now on. Why NOT?
BAKED BEANS ARE GOOD! If you like them sweet, THEY ARE! I normally don't like thin sauced bbq beans, but these ones are good! Next to gates beans. Also, 4$ for a good smallest size is so good! Ps: NOT KC! THIS IS LEES SUMMIT...
I just visited for the first time and will definitely be back. It was delicious!
I called the order in at 6pm, was told it would be ready in 15min. I got to the restaurant and was told it would be another 10min. Then at 7pm I asked the man where my food is at bc its been an hour. He Then realized he gave my food to someone else. I left and will never go back. Mistakes happen but that was horrible service for a bbq joint.
