From the fried calamari and the garlic oil w fresh bread to the mozzarella caprese and tortellini, this was hands down THE BEST Italian food I have had since I visited Italy!! Don’t skip dessert!! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!! Dibi was an excellent server and made our experience amazing!!
I ordered a Meatball Sub. Half had 2 medium size meatballs the other side had none. I called by server over and he saw my plate and apologized offered to get me another meatball the manager came over and said no there is a meatball in there. I said where is the meatball at I don’t see one he said it’s in there it’s just smashed. I said there’s hardly any meat and I would like to have a meatball. The server came with a Meatball and when I received my bill I was charged $2.50 for a meatball and $2.50 extra for marinara sauce then I never received. I definitely will not be going back . That is not how you run a restaurant
I'm very picky about Italian food and honestly, it's not my favorite. Bella's is wonderful though. The chicken Albanese is so delicious!!!! My boyfriend loves the chicken parmesan. Great garlic rolls. The staff and owners are very friendly. If you haven't gone ...GO!
There are some points that were very good about this restaurant so I would give it one more try. My daughter and I stopped in for a late lunch. While other reviews talked about great service ours was mediocre. Our waiter barely spoke to us. We ordered the mozzarella cheese sticks which were good but slow in arriving. I had to ask a second time about them and they arrived shortly after. The side salad is lacking. Just lettuce with one small thin slice of tomato, chopped olives and shredded mozzarella. I noticed a table that came in after us got bread before us. The garlic bread rolls are quite good. There were dirty dishes on table next to us for at least 15 minutes before they were removed and there were only two other tables of two occupied so not busy. My daughter ordered the shrimp scampi dinner which was excellent. I’d go back for that dish! I had the lunch lasagna which is certainly ample in size and meaty but only tasted hamburger. At an Italian restaurant I expect some Italian sausage in my lasagna so it was just okay. I left a full tip because it was middle of afternoon and only two gentlemen working so I had the feeling our server is really a cook just working as server during slow times.
This is the second time we’ve been. The first was terrible. Bad service, messed up order and argued. That time they hadn’t been open long. Finally gave them another try. Food was better. Service VERY slow and Inattentive. I had spaghetti and meatballs. Spaghetti tasted home made and was good. Meatballs just ok. Not seasoned very much. Sauce is better than jarred, but under seasoned also. Needs garlic and basil, something. There are not a lot of Italian restaurants in Lees Summit, unfortunately.
The ambiance was nice and service was very friendly. As far as the food goes, it was not anything to write home about. The noodles were cooked perfectly but the sauce lacked any flavor. The chicken was average at best. This restaurant loads up the dishes with cheese to mask the flavor issues. Also tried the Chicken Alfredo and if I were to ever come back, I would get something with the Alfredo sauce, it was creamy and delicious.
a lover of Italian cuisine, so was gonna try this place. 30 damn minutes after order was placed, and watching others get there food. we walked out steaming. at least we got a glass of water!
Great Italian restaurant hidden away in Lee's Summit. The food was fresh and amazing. We even ordered a freshmade pizza to go. Diba is great at everything he does. We will be back.
Wonderful casual Italian restaurant with authentic Italian atmosphere and food. We had the Pasta Sampler with lasagna, tortellini and cheese ravioli. The food was bubbling hot and so delicious! The service was outstanding- staff worked together to offer assistance and make sure you have a great dining experience. Reasonable prices too. Definitely recommend Bella’s Italian Restaurant!
Amazing Italian restaurant hidden in Lee's Summit. The food is amazing. I had the seafood combo. Diba was great and very attentive.
