Saturday dinner. Don't let the exterior deceive you. The place looks very elegant inside. Our party enjoyed everything we ordered. Servings are very generous too. Prices are a bit steep though. Service was attentive.
Delicious foods and different flavors than other Thai places in the area. Attentive customer service and family friendly atmosphere. Beware the prices! I spent $50 for dinner, which surprised me, because it’s more than I’ve ever spent at other Thai restaurants!
The food here is amazing - packed with flavor. The portions were large and filling. One entree was big enough to share. Our waiter was knowledgeable on the menu and was really informative. Will definitely be coming back here. I ate here once a long time ago and had this delicious pineapple/chicken dish and that’s what brought me back. Adding this to my list of places to visit regularly.
The food was amazing.The service was phenomenal.The drinks were delicious.If you love Thai food this is the place to go. If you have never had Thai food, and want to give it a try, this is the place to do it at!
Poor service experience and underwhelming snack for us tonight. We have been excited for months to try the local legend but instead we were disappointed to be met with a very disengaged staff and overall flat experience. The speciality cocktail menu sounded delicious, unfortunately one of our selections was unavailable because of prep timing and the staff did not offer suggestions for alternatives. With such a unique menu I wish the staff would have offered recommendations to help us craft our dinner experience. The lack of attention to service tonight concerns me when I’m considering investing in fixed menu events honestly.

Best Thai food around. People come from across the world to ear here. Beautiful authentic decor. Very nice place. Great drinks, and the absolute best Thai food. They have many delicious options, and many of their offerings are locally sourced and farm raised. The service is impeccable, and their attire is fitting. Please eat at Waldo Thai because it is a treasure right here in KC
I have eaten here now a couple times, and the food is amazing. The drinks are spectacular. Honestly one of the best restaurants in KC AND the best Thai food I have ever had. However, my previous post still stands:When they get busy they will conveniently cancel your reservation, claim they have no record of your call-in, and make your family’s holiday outing a frantic scramble to find food. Confirm your reservation with this restaurant, the system is not set up perfectly.
Amazing cocktails, I will be going in for just a drink at some time in the future. Unfortunately I can’t remember the names of the dishes we got but everything was top notch. This is elevated dining for sure. Next time I go I’m going to dress a little nicer…. Also the service was amazing. Don’t go to Waldo Thai if you want the usual pad Thai. Go and try something new. I promise it will be delicious.
I've eaten here more than I have eaten at any single non-chain restaurant. Absolutely beautiful prepared food. Everything is perfectly seasoned, vegetables are garlicky, meats are moist and tender. You need to accept that a lot of the dishes are quite spicy. That is the nature of the cuisine. The staff are exceptionally good people with community-focused values. I couldn't recommend it more.
