Sarah our server was beyond professional and accommodating. The food at Voltaire is the best in Kansas City. Very upscale feel, but not pretentious at all. Patrons, hosts, bartenders, chefs, cooks, are all down to earth. Excellent.
Quite probably the best Old Fashioned in Kansas City! The food is delicious (you have to get the shrimp,) and the staff is great. It's one of my favorite places to visit.
Portions seem to have gotten smaller, within the last two years. Food is high quality, though. Great service and ambiance.
The expertly presented food will send you to a different world. The atmosphere is classic and vibe is on point. Always on my suggestion list to out-of-towners.

What a wonderful gem, the place located in the stockyard area offers a large amount of small plates in very reasonable price. We took Shrimps which were amazing, ribs in tea and five spices were good but not great. The sandwich with Moroccan meragez was fresh crunchy and simply very good. The mussels came in cumin heavy tomato sauce with green beans and potatoes were very unique though a bit too heavy on the cumin The octopus was great as well so was the dessert Service was perfect
Cocktails were spot on. Fantastic food. The merguez was delish. My mussels-aficionado 90-year-old dad thought they were among the best he had ever had, certainly the best in KC. Shrimp and hummus small plates fantastic. Swordfish was legendary. It's hard to impress me with lava cake, but they did... scrumptious and crispy edges. Great ambiance and servers. We will be making this a KC mainstay.

Very dark,intimate cozy atmosphere. DJ Thundercuttz sets the mood just right spinning vinyl grooves all night. The margaritas are delicious also!!! I'll be back soon for sure...
