Hard to believe this location was one of KCâs major steakhouses. Completely transformed into a veggie forward restaurant. Went with family which included two teen boys. They enjoyed there food very much (Grille Chicken Parm and modified Margarita pizza with delicious chicken sausage). Adults had salad and Teriyaki Bowl with chicken. Started out with charred cauliflower with harissa. That was unique. Salad deemed mediocre; Teriyaki was good, but not elevated. Teas and lemonades helped make the meal pricier than we expected for what we got. May try again.

I've been to True Food a few times and always enjoy my food and the service. Their caffinated tea drinks/juices are super good. I've gotten the spinach/musroom pizza which is great, as well as a panini that had broccolini and chicken on it, that was also good. They have great seasonal options that are fun to try as well.
We sat on the patio. But we were disturbed by 2 different pan handlers asking for money, which normally I wouldnt mind but I was having a meaningful conversation with a dear friend about a recent loss and grief. It is a lovely shaded patio. The food was excellent. We had 3 courses. The service was good, but our server seemed to be rushing us and we wanted to have a leisurely time. The restaurant wasn't even full so I didn't understand why our server kept coming by so frequently when we told the server we wanted to take our time. I'll try it again. Especially because the food was amazing.

Healthy food choices that taste amazing! Took my 16 yr old athlete grandson who eats a vegetarian diet and he loved it! He selected Korean Noodle Bowl w/ Tofu, then also ordered a spinach mushroom pizza. I selected the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl w/ seared Salmon. I highly recommend True Food Kitchen and canât wait for my next trip to KC to eat there again!

First time dining there , amazing food and service. We had Korean bowl and grilled chicken Parmesan , both were very yummy . Donât forget to order cookies and cream ..their ice cream was out of this world!!
