Laura I believe her was her name was the best! Food was delicious live music was a pleasant surprise and drinks were bomb!
My food was so good I forgot to take a picture! Staff was welcoming, atmosphere was nice, and food was delicious and appropriately priced! Definitely will be coming back :)
Amidst the pandemic craziness, hadn't visited in awhile. We enjoyed several of the dishes, a mix of both veg and non-vegg. The mushrooms were delicious. They make a good old-fashioned as well. Having live music was great, though the acoustics of the place just contributed to it being tooooooo loud. Would be nicer to have it sort of as background/midground music, not trying to seem like a concert. All said, good visit, will be back!
Ok I can't give more than 3 starts after tonight. Waited for a while before ever being seen than sat. After another couple was sat they were waited on before we were. Almost like we had been forgotten. Finally a server came by but the live music was so loud we couldn't understand her. We even said something to her about it. It was so dark we couldn't read the menu. The mushrooms were good. The potatoes were lacking, not a uniform cut, stuck together so the middle of them were not fully cooked, left out in the air to long so they were turning that dark color. We just ended up leaving because the atmosphere was so unappealing.
Life is too short not to share tapas with friends. We got a mid afternoon snack & sangria after getting manicures a couple of doors down. Perfect spot to sit, chill, catch-up with friends. Evenings are fun too! The menu has a bunch of great options for nearly everyone’s palate & the bar is stocked. Take a few minutes to peruse their drinks menu or just share a pitcher of sangria.
Where do I start?!?! Visited during restaurant week and it was the best decision. On the weekend they had a live singer who kept the atmosphere lively. The charcuterie board was amazing. They switch out the cheese every month, so you will always have something different. The Gouda hands down was my favorite. The spicy mustard and meat were packed with flavor. Started out with the fresh bread w/ roasted garlic, olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. The fresh bread was perfectly crispy and soaked up the dipping sauce. Next we had the tomato compote w/ goat cheese and it was different. The fried bread and a very strong garlic taste that wasn't mixing well with the compute. I would pass on that in the future. My heart was set on the sweet plantains, however they were sold out. They are a hot commodity and all the customers love them. They were subbed out with a meatball stuffed with risotto. And holy smokes, that meatball was the best stuffed meatball I've ever had. I would come back just for it. They are huge and very filling. The show stopper were the fried meatballs with habanero sweet and spicy sauce. I didn't want the plate to end. They seriously need to bottle the sauce and sell it. I would buy bottles by the dozen. The meal was finished off with churros that included chocolate ganache and dulce de leches sauces. I wasn't a fan of the chocolate ganache, it had a weird taste. Definitely a huge fan of the dulce de leches sauces.
Food was very good. Nice selection. Great drink menu. One of the best things was it was a cold night, and the restaurant was toasty warm.
What an amazing place. The food here and drink selection is by far the best tapas place in the kansas city metro. Hands down. The drink selection kinda blew my mind. Such a variety of vodka, whiskey, tequila, rum, and gin choices. If you haven't been its a must try spot. If you haven't had tapas they are small plates of deliciousness. If you think you're coming to get a huge plate of food don't be shocked because I already told you they are small plates. But you won't be disappointed in the flavor category
Very nice variety of dishes to order. Mostly shareable items with a few sandwiches. Tried a variety of items and couldn't decide on which one was best. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes.
Well, let me say that my girlfriend and I had high hopes for Trago as we typically love Spanish tapas. The tapas lacked creativity, tenderness and flavor. The tapas maybe served 1 1/2 people each. The service was great and the wait staff couldn’t have been nicer. However, Trago’s attempt to have a “Spanish” ambiance/influence just looked cluttered and dusty. The restaurant lacked an overall sense of cleanliness. Drinks from the bar were very attractive but, just tasted “a little off.” We ordered 2 tapas each and 4 drinks and our bill was right at $100. I think we are a “Once & Done”at Trago. The place was not super busy at 6:30 on a Saturday night. No doubt this restaurant is writing at least some of it’s own reviews!!!
