It's a shack, tiny place that about 10 people can sit elbow to elbow. It's busy, least non stop while I was there with take out orders on the phone and walk It's.It's not exactly cheap, not expensive either but it's not fast food prices. What I can say it is, that it's tasty.... oh so tasty. Got the double patty with everything just to see how it goes. Oooh so going back. It's a smash burger type if that matters to you. Onion rings were hot and fresh. Get it in your belly!
We wanted to find a cool, local spot to eat lunch and found this on Google Maps! The building from the outside is small, and when you walk in it’s small, too but don’t let that take away from how AMAZING food is! I ordered a single cheeseburger with fries and a drink and my boyfriend ordered the Haystack breakfast sandwich! I didn’t try his food, but the burgers are SO good! Wishing I would’ve ordered a double so I could have had more! The burger was hot and juicy and came with grilled onions, pickles, Mayo, and ketchup! The Haystack was basically a traditional breakfast on Texas toast! If you eat here, you WILL NOT be disappointed! We will definitely be going back!
Town Topic is the best smash burger in the city. Get it double meat and double cheese with tots.
Solid place and classic. Open since the 1930s I hope they keep the tradition going. I rode by yesterday and had to go back today to try it out. Got two burgers fries and a choc malt. Wonderful meal
Sometimes you're in the mood for a good, old-fashioned cheeseburger. Town Topic hits the spot. Not a lot of room to sit, or stand, depending on the time of day, but grab a bag to-go. You won't regret it. And don't forget the pie!
My go to is : 2 doubles wit Bacon and onions w/ gator tots! Side note: apple Ala mode is good too!!!
Been wanting to try this place for awhile and as I was driving back north from Union Station, there it was. The building had the kind of charm you don't often see. I was greeted right as I walked in and smacked in the face with the delicious aroma of hamburgers being fried. Reasonable prices for a hamburger joint. I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries. The burger was tasty and the fries were too, just the fries weren't anything special. Lots of pie to choose from and shakes but I passed on this trip. I will return with my Dad and next time I will try the tots or rings.
Some times you just want a good old fashioned diner hamburger, and that's where Town Topic excels. Don't expect any fancy fixings, just order a double cheeseburger and make sure it's dressed with plenty of those grilled onions and you'll be plenty happy.Looking forward to swinging back when they let people in the door again to sit at the counter!
Town Topic is what all burger joints should aspire to be. This is, consistently, the best burger I have ever eaten. There exists a burger-quality that can only be found here. I can no longer enjoy burgers from other establishments, or even my own burgers after eating here.I would recommend this place only to people that have consistent access to it. Otherwise, you'll be chasing a high that only exists here.
DELICIOUS!! I’ve been wanting to stop here for years and finally had the chance. Their reputation is definitely know. Because it was packed! Parking is on the north said. DO Not park on the south side. You’ll get a ticket. But the food was outstanding. Definitely will be stopping by here a lot more!
