Had a great lunch with the family. This place has a very awesome feel to it. The food was awesome and the staff was very helpful. Definitely will stop in the next time we're in the area.

I really like this place. Especially when it isn't super packed and you have room to move. Great drinks, love sitting at the bar. Bartenders are cool. Awesome atmosphere. Good menu with tasty food. Just a fun place to be with friends.I like going in the back entrance, even though that parking lot can be pretty treacherous.

Have you been to "The Ship"? Go, just go! Try the Blackberry jalapeños margarita, it is one of the best cocktails I've ever had. The Cubano was great! The live music is worth whatever cover! Want a night out in KC, "The Ship" is it!...and the no bake cookie...Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, but the sevice is three stars thus my rating. (It was really 1 star but I loved everything else) especially the saxophone which raised to a 4 star...

Great food, great music! Fun night!

Went to the ship for the first time, great venue until our bartender went on break, we were introduced to Ruby, we had been in the back bar all night had a great fish dinner, soup and several drinks. Ruby took over and I motioned for some refills the bar was busy, I motioned a second time about 10 minutes later she didn’t even acknowledge me, the third time when she came to the end of the bar where we had been sitting for 3 hours I asked if we could please get a couple more drinks she said I am waiting on other people right now. So rude. 20 minutes after the first motion our bartender came back and asked if we would like more drinks. Ruby is horrible sorry to say it.

Had dinner and drinks with friends, great time had by everyone. They had a band playing tonight. Great spot and truly a hidden gem!!

The food was pretty good. It was nothing fancy, which is perfectly fine with me. It was reasonably priced. I'd comment on the drinks too, but I didn't have any because they were all too expensive to be worth the gamble. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯It seemed like we were being rushed through every step of the meal for no apparent reason. It wasn't very busy and there were plenty of open tables. Also, pretty much any time any of us took a drink of our water, someone topped it off. I get it, you don't want to be inattentive, but I've seen dogs at Thanksgiving dinner who weren't even that attentive to what was going on at the table. I was meeting a member of my biological family for the first time - I really wanted to tell the wait staff to get off our nuts so we could chat.Decor was cool. Definitely had a neat wooden ship vibe (minus the salt creep and barnacles).

This is the worst place ever. So disrespectful../do not waste your time. Worst experience ever and treated horrible. DO NOT GO!!! Server and Manager were awful which is sad as we were recommended to go there. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT….DO NOT GO!!

If you are looking for a fun atmosphere and good food, The Ship is a great spot! It used to be so hard to get a table on First Friday weekends, but the expansion has really opened it up. I prefer to sit in the old part that feels like your dining in a shop, but the new bar side is open and leaves lots of space for social distancing. The smoked chicken salad is my favorite menu item, but I’ve honestly never had a meal I didn’t enjoy. The staff is always friendly. I would highly recommend.

We normally love this place so I will give 4 stars, the Restaurant week was a huge bummer. We are lunch regulars and love the Shrimp Po Boy. It was not offered, we were never offered a drink other than water, and the place was very cold. We were also told there was not even firecracker sauce to offer us but when I asked another lady for a dipping sauce she listed firecracker sauce and we got it at the table. We will be back but $20 for a sandwich, fries and a cookie (that we didn't want) with a water is far from a good deal, especially for lunch. Wish the regular menu was offered.I wouldn't that suggest people avoid the place, it is good food, just avoid restaurant week, rip off.Edit: not sure how else you want me to elaborate. I wish you left the normal menu for regular customers. Your restaurant week lunch menu was a huge rip off. I think it cost more than it would have on a regular day. I was polite and left the 4 stars because of last experiences, this experience was a 1 star experience and had it been my first time I certainly never would return. $20 for a thin chicken sandwich and fries with a cookie. Ridiculous!
