Five stars for a great coffee shop. Coffee is top drawer. Good service. Menu that will please the savory or sweet palet. If you're anywhere near this place, stop in.
My partner and I made a special trip here to do a factory tour. Jacob was our tour guide, who did a terrific job giving the history of the company, how coffee is grown and processed, we toured the roasting rooms, we got to sample a couple coffees to determine their roast—medium or dark. We also sampled the cold brew and nitro brew. After the tour, we enjoyed one of their sandwich wraps and a pastry with some coffee from Yemen. Really delicious. I highly recommend the tour, it’s affordable, interesting, and fun.
We took a tour of the Roasterie factory as part of our staycation. The tour guide makes the difference! Boston was our tour guide and he was awesome! It was interesting to learn about coffee growing and roasting and the subtle differences things like climate and processing and roasting can make. After driving by Betty on the highway for years, I'm so glad we took the tour. It's easy to take for granted some of our local treasures and the Roasterie is definitely a local treasure.
Some friends shared the coffee BBQ sauce with us and we immediately ordered 4 jars. It is really great on most anything but it is truly exceptional on pork (chops, pulled, etc.). My wife doesn't like BBQ (weirdo, right?) but loved the sauce on pulled pork.Unfortunately, the jars weren't packaged well. One jar was completely shattered and another had a broken lid.I emailed the company and they quickly sent out 2 more jars at no cost to us! Thank you, Megan, in the customer service department! This will be a re-order and gift item we will continue to purchase for years.
Coffee here is way better than Starbucks. Really nice facility and the tour was very informative
What an amazing time! Our tour guide, Jacob, did a great job of relaying information and answering questions. I learned so much about coffee. My favorite part of the tour was the tasting. Great job--LOVED it!
Such a good location. I've lived in KC for about 8ish years and never knew they did tours! The tour was super informative & cheap $5 a person! Once the tour is done you can get a percentage off your order. The honeycomb is my favorite.
Great service. Cool shop and fantastic product.
Interesting tour that took 1 hour explaining about the sourcing, harvesting, and processing of their coffee beans, the history of Roasterie, and how the machinery process works, as well as the bagging and labeling. Included afterwards in this free tour was a brewing demonstration and tasting. Options to purchase product.
Fun to see the factory area--you can tour or simply look through the glass windows into the processing area. There is a store where you can buy bags of coffee, t-shirts and other souvenirs. And of course, the coffee and pastries are wonderful. Lots of indoor seating, as well as outdoors. There is a separate building for the drive thru!
