One of the best unknown tenderloin joints in KC. Their fries are also fantastic! Definitely worth a drive to KCMO.
Saw an advertisement and sounded like a great place. After I received my order I honestly felt it was a week old. Hard as brick I could not take a bite. So I peeled about 1/2 inch all around the edge. That helps but still the hardest and tasteless tenderloin I I have ever had and I know my tenderloins.
This place is truly what I consider a hole in the wall place... And that's a good thing. It looks to have been here for many years. It has that old diner feel with stools and a counter. And the food is your typical greasy hamburger joint place. I wasn't adventurous enough to try the pig snout but I did try the Tenderger. I would definitely get it again. The tenderloin was good but the hamburger was more on the lines of a smashburger. It was thin and well cooked. Really well done. The only thing that saved the flavor was the seasonings they use for the beef. If you like things well done, you would probably enjoy it more than I did. I'm more of a thick medium well hamburger person. The tater tots were nothing special, they tasted good but they are low on my list. Next time I may try the hand cut fries. I will definitely be going back.
Great staple to eat at in Kansas City. I had the tenderloin and sausage sandwich. Kind of a tex mex twist on a classic. Great prices and good flavor.
It was delicious ? counter help was awesome! Tenderloin was good as well as the sauce!! Everyone was friendly ! Cute quaint little place! I had driven by many times but stopped and tried it out today!
I had a chance to go to the Tenderloin Grill today! How did I miss this place. I had the Tender with an order of Onion Rings and a bottled root beer. The Onion rings were my favorite style. The Tender (with everything) was tender, moist with a flavorful crisp batter. I have heard the batter has a secret ingredient. (now i have to work to figure out what that special zing is)The hot sauce is made in the back and though the everything on the surface was not my style by reading all of the toppings. I like to try things exactly as designed.I am glad I did, the combination of the everything was perfection. Twang, heat, zing on a delicious top of the line piece of pork tenderloin. This hidden in plain site restaurant is a must stop. Not far from Crown Center or The Crossroads The Tenderloin Grill is located in the Westside on the Northside of Southwest Blvd at Madison.
Great food! Crunchy onion rings. Ths donohoe hot dog was wonderful. I don't like refried beans but they were great 9n this sandwich. We will be back.
Great old school atmosphere. Tenderloin was ok. Not Great.
First timer .... great bacon cheeseburger
Tasty filling large portions, cozy lil dining area, easy simple ordering. I had the cheesburger & my friend had the tenderloin, we both are ready for a nap. I WILL be back with more friends!
