Tried Tay’s Cheesesteaks today. It was great! Bread from Philly. Steak, onions, mushrooms. Had the regular but next time will try the one with Cheez Whiz. This definitely compares with cheesesteaks at Grinder’s. Give Tay’s a try!
We enjoyed the freshness of the food and the unique ingredient choices. There was a short wait but it was worth it. The seasoned fries are great too.
I checked out Tay's Cheesesteak for the first time today. I ordered the 6" basic Tay's Cheesesteak with fries and a drink. At first I must admit that I was taken back by the $10.00 price for a 6" sandwich with only fried onions, but it was truly made with thinly sliced steak and served in a very good roll (probably Roma). The fries were fresh, hot and seasoned to perfection for my taste so I didn't even need ketchup for them. All in all it was one of the best cheesesteaks that I've had in KC and while not cheap (I dinged them one star for price), you get what you pay for.
My new favorite cheesesteak place. But, it can be hit or miss. Some complaints I see are valid, some I have yet to experience. It is pricey, but locally sourced beef, amarosa, etc. rolls aren't cheap.Last few trips there has been no carbonation in the soda machine. Syrup water kills the experience from being five stars on both visits. On this current visit(saturday evening) half of the meat on one cheesesteak was still cool and pink. Because of that, the pepperjack cheese didnt melt at all on one and a half Phillies it was ordered on. One had hardly any seasoning. One philly was perfect though! The fries are great, but seem to get cold suuuuuper quick. Still love all the sauce options. Will return, but due to the pricing and some of the recent hiccups it might be awhile
Best Cheesesteak in KC Metro, hands down! Love them! Killer fries, and the cookies are bomb too! Very relaxed and comfy place to eat awesome food!
Food was great! People were friendly!
Was super excited to find a steak and cheese place. Was leary at menu... 6" sub all by itself for $10. So I took a shot. Well, it was meh... Serious buyers remorse. Plain boring sub. You guys will have to up your game... For nearly $14 for a very small and not filled sub and a side of fries... Sorry no value here.
Wow this place is SO. GOOD. We were across the street at a concert and popped in here to grab a bite and it was so good it made me consider moving up North. We got Tay's regular Philly with mushrooms and green peppers and fell in love (hint: dip it in some Sriracha mayo). My wife, who grew up in Philly, said it was one of the best Philly's she has ever had. You won't regret stopping in here.
Great Cheesesteak! I ordered the Tay's Cheesy with cream cheese as suggested from the gentleman working. It did not disappoint! I will be back.
Food is Fresh, filling and always Great ! Definitely worth stopping in for lunch or dinner. Best Sandwichs around
