Came for dinner on Saturday and made reservations on the last minute for 6 people and they accommodated us and placed our desired table at our request. It is greatly appreciated when the host will go out of their way to give us great experience. Being our first time, we asked our waitress to surprise us with the most popular dish and appetizers. She did not disappoint, we had the best food and experience. The belly dancer was a great addition and they encouraged audiences to participate. Plate breaking was also interesting and fun. Will definitely come back again to bring our friends and family.
We had such a wonderful and unique experience! The food was out of this world...we had the 5 course meal paired with wine for each course. The entire entertainment and atmosphere is like no other eating establishment! Yes, we WILL be back! Again and again! We even bought a bottle of wine to take home! Thank you, TASSO'S, for a night to remember!!
I called them to place a large order for about 22 people. It was delivered on time and everyone couldn't say enough in praise of the food and the amount provided. We used them in the past for some corporate office meetings but I only used them for the first time for this corporate meeting. If you can, visit them at their restaurant location. You will be thrilled by the friendly and wonderful bunch of people you will come into contact with!
Stopped for lunch, had moussaka. Very tasty, subtle spices. Salad had the right amount of dressing on it, not a blast of vinegar like many Greek restaurants serve. Nice neighborhood vibe, vinyl tablecloths, a bar that looks nice, music but not too loud, nice decor, nothing fancy. Weekday lunch had few people there — less than Google’s bar graph would suggest.
We had a great birthday lunch experience! My wife has wanted to go here for some time now so it was a great opportunity to get her birthday lunch here! Food, service and atmosphere were all wonderful. Only reason for 4 stars is the decor needs some updates. But we loved the overall experience!
Great authentic Greek restaurant. We got the tour of Greece appetizer which was great. The meals both came with salad which was some of the best salad I’ve had in a long time. The gyro was great but the chicken was very disappointing; it was an unseasoned grilled chicken breast. Baklava to finish the meal was delicious. Overall, we would recommend and return but avoid the chicken dishes.
We went for dinner, unaware that the place turns into an incredibly loud bar-like venue for an elderly soloist accompanying himself on a much-amplified electric guitar and an attractive belly dancer on Friday and Saturday nights. She, in particular, appeared to be quite the local favorite. For the most part, the food was good - there were 6 of us, so we had a good sampling of the fare. The restaurant seemed seriously understaffed - many times, we saw our waiter on his way out of the kitchen only to be dragged back in. He did his best, but seemed pretty overwhelmed. We aren't grading them down for that - good service employees are difficult to find these days, and he was as good as circumstances allowed him to be. Overall, we would likely have enjoyed it had we been able to visit on a weekday evening, but we were unprepared for an unwelcome VERY loud venue where we could not hear ourselves, much less each other. As soon as we could finish our entrees, we were out the door - I ordered baklava to go, and was disappointed not to receive the traditional diamond-cut dessert - which they had displayed - but a soft, slightly stale rolled version. We'll know better, if there's a next time.
Amazing food, Greek coffee was so good I had to buy a pound of coffee for home. Thank you to the best server. He came in last minute to help out. Can’t wait to return with our family. Umpah
This place is simply amazing. You walk in and immediately feel like you are welcomed into a lovely home in Greece. Incredible service, very friendly and full of great laughs and wholesome and delicious food. Will visit every time I’m in KC.
Went in prepared to eat some good Greek food. Came out with the experience of a lifetime. Amazing food and service.
