Honestly, this is the best pizza in KC. I have tried several pizza places since moving here, and they all have been disappointing. This is the first place in KC to hit that pizza flavor just right in the sauce. It is flavored like good NY pizza, like the big slices. And I love that I can get a 7 inch pizza, just the right size for me to eat with my homemade salad and not have to have leftovers (who wants reheated pizza?) Thank God for this place honestly. The pizza can be a little salty sometimes, but the great flavor and personal pan option helps to excuse the saltiness.
Timing: I highly recommend to come to the restaurant before or after 12:00pm. Around 12:30pm the restaurant died out line wise but there were still a lot of people dining in. The building is next to a business district so you know they are busyThree meat review: There’s plenty of sauce they seem to add the perfect amount for a pizza. Not to mention how eveything on the pizza almost slid off which you know that’s a good pizza. The sausage and meatballs were impactful with flavor and overall splendid meal. The 14” fed 3 people easily. The price for the pizza was well worth itAtmosphere: since it is super small here in the restaurant it can get really loud with a lot of people in here. (That’s why they have outdoor seating which is also an option!) I will say it can be annoying. The only con: There weren’t that many people that came out to waiter. They had maybe 2 people waitering. And with the ratio of people seated that is not enough. I almost gave a 4/5 just because my friend waited at a table for us and it took them 15 minutes before they finally got to buff/clean the table. Thankfully we were still waiting in line but they came out before we were seated. So keep your 5/5!
My friends and I ate here multiple times and the food was consistently good. There are excellent gluten free pizzas, and they asked about tolerance for cross contact when I ordered. I enjoyed mushroom pizza, veggie pizza with goat cheese, and a white pizza with chicken, mushrooms, and goat cheese. There are a number of nice salads as well, though the time I forgot to order dressing on the side my Greek salad arrived drowned in vinaigrette. My friends and I also enjoyed their hummus with gluten free flatbread. They were a bit slow taking orders at the register but food and drinks were prepared quickly and brought to the tables efficiently. Overall it’s a great spot for a quick and tasty lunch or dinner.
Great service delicious food affordable prices
I love the atmosphere here. The menu is filled with delicious options, handmade to order in an open kitchen concept that flows seamlessly from the ovens to the bar and into the dining room. The layout fills the space with delicious aromas, adding a layer of coziness to the clean, comfortable aesthetic. We ordered at a counter near the front entrance and our food was brought to the table quickly by multiple friendly servers. I only drank water on this trip, but I did notice a small array of beer taps behind the counter and signs advertising the availability of white and red wines. After the meal, you may choose to enjoy a cup of Italian gelato, which is offered in a variety of flavors you can see on display in a case near the entrance.
Use to think that Spin was the ultimate for pizza. Haven't been in for a while. Just ordered a take out and I could barely eat the second slice. Extremely salty, yes I said salty!Never had a pizza with a salty taste. I had ordered a double pepperoni with double Italian sausage and carmalized onions. I don't think I got the carmalized onions as you can see from the picture. I think I need to find a new pizza joint.
Ive been going to Spin since 2013 and its the Best Pizza in KC if you ask me. Especially when the pizza is made with love. The crust is golden brown, ingredients are fresh, best pizza hands down... whenever I open up my own sliced pizza spot I want it to taste like Spin.
Pretty good! I got the mini lunch. Next time I will dine in. $11.xx after tax. Nice little salad, I liked the pizza. On the mini lunch they will let you have whatever toppings you want. They are normally $1.25-$1.75. Everything good. :)
Walked in ordered a drink and they automatically tabbed me out. I told the bartender I wanted to order food and he just stood around and made boxes. I kept making eye contact with the guy but he just ignored me. I took 4 sips of my beer and left, first and last time I’ll be going to Spin
This used to be a favorite… however the quality of their salads went down south (pretty bad)…Other than that; pizza is good. Prices are amazing. Staff is friendly and attentive. Great location. Spacious. And very cute decoration.I wish the quality of their salads came back… in that case they would be a definite 5+ stars…
