Extremely disappointing. We went to the Barry Road location after a swim meet. We arrived around 9:40. It was busy. Waited in line & when we got to the window which was 10 minutes before closed was informed by the young lady that they wouldn’t be taking more orders. They were shutting down the machines.She walked away from the window and wouldn’t even look at the 20 people that had been waiting in line. Then another young man walked by the window, slammed it shut & laughed as he walked away.Shortly after that they turned off all the outdoor lights on everyone outside. That included those that had gotten ice cream and where eating it in front of the store front.I have no idea what happened to the with the car that had been waiting in the drive thru. It seemed that many of them were turned away as well so they could start cleaning before closing
I would give it no stars if I could. We used to go hear all the time & raved about it. Only drive thru open on a Saturday evening. It was runny, grainy not at all what it used to be. Appears only teenagers are running the place. Needs some adult supervision. Horrible customer service, not friendly at all. Will go to Andy’s from now on.
Really good concretes with a couple unique recipes. The menu is not huge but they do have a decent amount of other toppings etc if you want to make your own custard concoction. The drive through is a tad slow sometimes but it's worth it
I once rated this place with 5 starts but it has just gone down hill with the staff and quality of product. They never where gloves like they should and the staff are all children so they spend alot of time goofing around and fraternizing..The shakes are now runny and the custard tastes like it's been frozen thawed and refrozen. I think I'll try Andy's on 152 highway instead.
I wouldn't rate it a 1 but it won't let me rate it any lower this is the worst place I have ever been to. I waited in the drive thru line for 20 minutes to order when I finally got up to the window the big said they closed at 10. I told him I had been waiting in line for 20 min he said they were closed after arguing about waiting he finally said they would serve us I told him what I wanted he proceeded to tell me they didn't have. They have a sorry management problem and training problem. There were 3 more cars behind me they didn't get served either. I will be going some where else.
Terrible staff zero customer service and no courtesy to clients.. i stood infront of the store for 10 minutes waiting to get served. They all were looking at me and non of them bothered to say sorry we are closed. No sign light is still on. How lazy can a person be to Just wave their hand and say "we are closed". Finally a customer felt bad for me and told me they are closed. I have had bad experience with this store couple of times. I really hope another ice-cream store will open up soon in this area. So I never have to step a foot in this place again!! The management needs to better train their employees. I hope this would happen. From now on I will go to Andy's in liberty.
The hours posted on the building are not accurate. The sign says on Fridays and Saturdays they close at 11. And although they say they are open until nine, they always close early every time I have been since I have been living in the area for a year. I work late hours and can't always get there early. Today after being in line for over 20min, they turned us away to close half an hour early. While I understand it can be difficult to be short staffed, I don't know how closing half an hour early is particularly helpful. They already seemed about ready to leave, it didn't look like they needed extra time. It appeared to be a bunch of young individuals just wanting to leave early. Not great service. I wish there was an Andy's there instead. They taste better anyway.
Seems like there's always some issue with this location...1. short staff, 2 just drive thru service, 3. no chocolate ice cream, 4 some machine broke down so I don't know if that's the reason for no chocolate ice cream they made it sound like it was.. I think these young people working there need an adult on staff with them...
My wife and I enjoyed the Carmel Pretzel custard. The kids loved the wedding cake custards. The service was really good and friendly as well.
This place is never open anymore, even though they advertise to be open until 10:00PM on Saturdays. They always close early due to some excuse, like the concrete machine isn’t allowing them to make anymore concretes. Sign on the front window says front window is closed to due staffing issues and to use the drive-thru but they have cones in front of the drive-thru so you can’t use that either. Turning into a regular MacDonalds where the ice cream machine is always broken, not great business for a place that only serves ice cream. Maybe Andy’s will buy them out, they’re actually open during their posted hours.
