I've been here twice now. First experience went ok. So why the one star? Just left a family dinner. It was a completely different experience. In fact, it was the worst experience we've had for a family meal. We've been to places where maybe they screw up one order but this was bigger than that. Half the party got their entrees. The rest of us figured they would be back with the rest. They didn't. After waiting a while, we finally had to ask. One person got theirs but the rest? No clue. Did a manager come over and apologize for the lack of service? No, we don't even know if there was anyone in charge. No idea. We finally decided to give up on everything else. This was a service level on par with the a bad fast food restaurant. Except even McDonald's figured out ways to make sure this level of bad doesn't happen.

Pretty good Japanese restaurant. I think the biggest advantage is the cost is very reasonable. We ordered an appetizer ('ceviche'), a bento box and a ramen, came out to be just $30 some dollars. I like the Ceviche. The squid salad in the bento box was good too. The rest are good but not like amazing. Service was very good and friendly. They have a patio so you can have outdoor dining.

Fantastic sushi, on the slightly pricey side but nothing out of the usual for good fresh seafood and related fare. Good selection of drinks during happy hour, friendly and incredibly courteous service, and the sushi is incredibly delicious. Each fish has it's unique flavor, some are smokier, while others are more savory and briney. Oysters are a must try and the absolute highlights for me were salmon roe and unagi (eel) sashimi, the eel was almost an out of body experience. 5/5 would go again, 6/5 for service

High quality sushi, excellent service, clean and relaxing atmosphere, and a unique blend of drinks and food!

The best sushi in the area, bar none. Toro paradise.

We went on a Saturday, sat on the patio, and mostly ordered off the great happy hour menu. $5 for umeboshi and fresh shiso rolls, spicy crab, and spicy tuna is hard to beat, and we got California uni and ikura nigiri as well. The nigiri was served loose in little bowls rather than gunkan like I expected, but it was no less fresh and delicious. The spicy crab is the best spicy crab I've had anywhere and was a real surprise because it's not a roll I came expecting to be impressed by, but the texture was perfect and it had great flavor.

Hands. Down. Best. Eatery. In. Brookside. This place has incredible food. Do not confuse the location with that defunct shop from years ago. This restaurant is incredible. The seafood is always fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful. The drink menu is diverse and delicious (you’ve never had a better margarita!!! And at a sushi joint...Trust me!)I also love how the owner and staff meticulously adhere to COVID safety protocols! It’s the safest I’ve felt at a restaurant.Other Brookside places think patio means no limit on patrons, and the pack them in unsafely, but Sayachi Sushi is strict and I REALLY appreciate and trust them for it.Not your grocery sushi options. Try something new and you’ll be surprised!

Best chicken fried rice I’ve ever had!! It has a kick to it but it’s so good! ? I ate there yesterday and I woke up this morning thinking about the rice that’s how good it was!! I most definitely would recommend it! My husband and daughter had the California and Kansas City rolls. They both enjoyed them too! They don’t disappoint!

Loved our experience, they worked with my fiance's gluten allergy. Will definitely return

First time in and can't really complain. Service was good and the food was quick. I will say, i didn't know any of the rolls so i kind of went in blind. Spicy tuna was ok but nothing exactly special. The KC roll was ok. I didn't eat and raw sushi but my friend liked it. I may stop back in when in the area. Not my favorite though. 3 ? from me.
