Delicious bbq that lives up to all the trophies on their wall! Ribs and brisket were so tender and good. The Mr burns sandwich (burnt ends) was inhaled! We arrived shortly before noon on Monday and were seated immediately. Service was attentive and courteous.Highly recommend!

TL/DR: go there, get foodKansas City is known for some of the best BBQ in the world - and Q39 is known for the best BBQ in Kansas City. Being a Tennessee person, I'm sort of partial to the way we do things... but there I went, with open mind and empty stomach, to see what the fuss is all about. My first impression walking in was how clean & upbeat Q39 is - and how incredibly friendly the staff are. They'd never met me in my life but treated me like a regular.I ordered the Judge's Plate to go (along with a bottle of award-winning zesty sauce to take home). This is a "pick-3" plate from a selection of 5: pulled pork, ribs, sliced brisket, smoked chicken and chipotle sausage. I chose the first three, with baked beans for my side. While awaiting the order, I looked around at the array of awards Q39 has on display, and was quite stunned when I saw not one, but TWO Jack Daniels BBQ trophies on a shelf over the bar! What the heck! These guys came to my home turf and took home the trophy... TWICE!I got my order in a timely manner, paid and made haste to get back to my lodging. It was a miserable drive because I could smell nothing but an incredible BBQ fragrance the whole way. When I finally sat down and opened the go container, I saw what looked to be some amazing BBQ pork. I deliberately eased into it so I could savor the flavor. With every bite of the pulled pork, I thought I heard angels singing. It was tender, juicy, perfectly smoked and flavored. The sliced brisket was equally flavorful. I barely had to chew: it was that tender! As I easily peeled the rib meat from the bone and tasted it, the meat was so tender it seemed to melt into liquid happiness on my tongue. If "love" was a flavor, I imagine it would taste much like this.(Bless this pig's mom for having such a delicious kid - some animals were born to end up on my plate, and this was one of them. Amen)The baked beans were perfect. I know that word is overused, but this should be the standard by which all baked beans should be compared. Really. No wonder Q39 has so many awards that they can't all fit on the trophy wall! Q39's pit boss has this craft down to a sheer art form.If you find yourself anywhere near Kansas City, Missouri, you are well advised to make every effort to get to Q39. Trust me on this... you'll thank me later.

The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great too. I had the burnt ends and brisket - highly recommend both! The cucumber onion salad is tasty also.

I went for my Birthday ? professional peeps wonderful food and great experience.. I was very impressed

Everything was foolishly good. We ordered too much and have no regrets. The pork belly app is a must eat, as was the brisket. I don't think I've ever had brisket that perfectly suited to my preferences before. I strongly recommend eating here.During our KC weekend we had BBQ twice. Here and at Joes KC BBQ. Both were exceptional meals.

We were warmly welcomed and our reservation was honored even though it was a mob scene at the host station. Seated promptly at the reserved time. The service was fast and efficient with our server being extremely knowledgeable about the menu items. The food was as advertised, the portions large and very tasty. Highly Recommended.

I had the 2 item sampler and it was good. Chicken was excellent, less impressed with sausage. Apple slaw was not what I expected it to be.

Great service and food. We were there at opening and the people before us smeared bbq sauce on the underside of the table. Staff helped my husband clean it up. The ribs snd chicken had just the right. Mount of zip. Highly recommend and be sure to pick up a bottle if their sauce!

The food was good but the overall experience was very disappointing. When you lose a customer’s trust and are disingenuous with your communication and charges, it’s hard to overcome. The restaurant missed on opportunity to make things right. We ordered half rack of ribs. The server Alix said it comes with one side. She recommended the Mac and Cheese. So we ordered the Mac and Cheese. Upon receiving the check, we noticed there was a $4.00 charge for the Mac and Cheese. When we brought it to her attention she said it was her bad, and admittedly stated she never said anything and she should have. Fine, I have no problem with that but make things right. She never did anything about it. I called shortly after and spoke to her manager. I explained the situation and he did nothing about it. He did thank me for sharing the feedback. I left feeling like the restaurant lacked honest and the integrity to make things right. Truly disappointed because the food was good.

This place was great. I love making my own Q and comparing it and they nailed it all from the brisket to the sides. Dwayne was our server and he was phenomenal. Highly recommend him and this place!!!
