I've been going to Paul's for over 40 years, but unfortunately I will never spend another dime there. Since new owners took over the service has gotten consistently worse each time I've went. (5th time was tonight) After waiting for 10 minutes with only 1 car in front of me at the speaker, I then waited 17 minutes at the speaker. I asked if there was anybody there and a woman replied in a very rude tone and said "Gimme a moment please?". 27 minute wait to be talked to rudely, you just lost another customer.
Excellent food! Probably the best burger, fries, and onion rings I’ve had in a long time. I love finding hidden gems like this that are locally owned.
I used to come to Paul's since I was a kids. My experience today isn't to bad. But I sat in the drive through for 20min in line. Waited for 10min just to have my order taken. Then sat in the drive through for another 20min just pay and receive my food. Food is great! But just need a little faster service in the kitchen. I understand it can get busy. But I've never waited in a drive through for this long before.
Been going here since I was a kid. That's a long time ago. Live across town, now, But I stop by when I get back to the old stomping grounds. No frills. Not retro. Just real. A real guilty pleasure.Best o-rings ever. Batter is the secret. I have often wondered if they have a magic ingredient that makes them different than every other o-ring ever. A large ring is a meal in itself.Love the burgers with the cheese melted between the patties.Wish Paul's was doing better today than it's heyday. The neighborhood has not aged well in the past 50 years. KCMO should be ashamed how they neglect this part of town. But I am glad Paul's is still around. Not health food. Don't eat it every day, kids. But get down to Paul's once in a while. Keep em cooking!
Had the tenderloin and a burger. No flavor. Tasted like cardboard and old grease. Very disappointed when their meals are almost $9 with tax.
Their Italian steak is awesome! The Fries were really good too all of it taste like it did when I was a kid. I love this place, if I didn’t live two hours from Paul’s I would eat there everyday.
The best greasiest burger place ever. It's a nostalgia for me. My mom took me there as far back as I can remember into my childhood. It was her favorite hang out spot as a teenager, so I would enjoy a walk down memory lane with her every time we went. The tenderloin is where it's at for me. The only reason this family favorite gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because the women that work there are extremely unpleasant to deal with. I don't think I've ever had friendly service in the 30 years I've been going there. The food is worth it though if your looking for a greasy hole in the wall to cure a hangover. The tenderloin and tots are sure to do the trick.
Delicious! Come hungry!! Place tugs on your heart strings because it'll take you back. Excellent burgers, tots and onion rings. Very nice staff and hard-working---give them a raise! Awesome experience!
I should have listened to the dozens of reviews that said the food and service has gone downhill since new owner. Food was cold and staff actually cussed at us when we asked for it to be heated up! Save your time and money...go ANYWHERE else. Food and service at McDonald's, on their worst day, is better!
Best drive thru old school diner style burger and fries in KC. Veggies buelrger is outstanding. Chili is fabulous and you can put it on everything. The tenderloins are huge and the staff is the best. Can't say enough good things about them.
