If you want some quick, authentic Mexican food then this is the place. I've been going here ever since I moved to KC almost 18 years ago. One thing I will say is if you go here on a weekend night, expect to wait.....
Okay I was a little skeptical when I pulled up to the drive thru to try Pancho’s for the first time, but I am so so glad I did. I was craving Mexican food and it hit the spot. The rolled taco combo is fire! Their chips are really good too. Super filling meal! The guy at the window was very kind; service was great. Only spent about 10 mins in the drive thru at 6PM on a Sunday… was expecting to wait much longer by the reviews so I was happily impressed! Definitely will be back. :)
I've wanted to try Pancho's for a long time, but every time we go, the line stretches from the parking lot and down the road. That should have been a hint as to how good it was, but we never wanted to wait. We finally had the chance to try it and now I completely understand. Bring some friends, tunes, and just enjoy the time in the car because this is probably some of the tastiest Mexican food I've ever gotten from a drive thru window.
You just can't go wrong here! A huge variety of burritos. Not one has disappointed. Open 24/7 which is amazing. Drive through can be slow but Its worth the wait!
Carne Asada burritos are huge & delicious. Also the tamales are amazing. Often do a side order of the Rice & bean plate which is always a good portion. They’re Open 24/7, usually has a long line for the drive through, but the wait is definitely worth it!
I luv the food periodt. But the Asada fries are off the chain!Just wish they'd open up the restaurant. Sit'n in the drive thru for 20-50mins to put in a order that takes 10mins. Is ridiculous. There's gotta be a better way.
Pancho's can really just hit the spot sometimes. As with any place, it can be hit or miss with some items but I have never went wrong when I order a Carna Asada dinner (with a side of chips because the flour tortillas are HUGE). I'll be honest, most times this place seems better the later it is lol, but day or night, the asada treats you right!
This location is a complete difference from the one in Lenexa. This location actually has good food and is worth it. The lenexa location was more expensive for the same thing and gave me half of the portion. The drive thru for the MO location had a bit of a line but it was worth the wait.
Ive been eating Pancho’s on Main in KCMO since I was a kid. I went there tonight, to buy my kids some quick authentic food. I live in Lees Summit now. 40 minutes there, 40 minutes back. It’s NOT a convenient trip. Ive always trusted panchos food. When I go I check my food to make sure the individual items I ordered are there. I do not think that a customer who just paid you to feed their family, would think to open up all the food and smell everything to make sure it’s not rotten. Panchos is a long trip for me now, i moved from downtown KC to Lees Summit. I trust and like panchos so every once in awhile, because I trust the restaurant, it’s worth my money, time, gas, patience. My money bought spoiled food tonight. My kids were eating not realizing anything of it, their kids, I took a bite and immediately recognized the sour spoiled taste. I got another spoon full and smelled it, it was spoiled! the adobado plates are what I ordered. I also ordered a side of rice, i took the lid off the side of rice I’m upset thinking who is working today, and taking responsibility serving/selling rotten food. I immediately wanted to call and speak with someone so they could REMOVE THE FOOD from the public, most important! And avoid the spread of food poisioning to everyone whose been there after I left today? All 4 of my kids ate Pancho’s tonight. It was a terrible experience to serve the kids food, and they’ve eaten 1/2 of it before you randomly take a bite of the plate and it is spoiled!!! And they need to hang out while mom figures out Plan B (3 of my kids are in school!) I’m a mom who cooks for her kids. Rice is made with tomato, (if it’s an authentic restaurant) I make rice regularly at home. All 4 of my kids could end up very sick because the employees there today did not do their job and make 100% sure that the food they are serving/selling is worth every dollar by making sure it’s fresh, not spoiled, and I’m having to decide not to give panchos my business anymore. My kid’s health is more impotant to me. I wish there were a way to share the smell/taste of the food my kids are tonight. I went on Google and the panchos website to make contact with the restaurant as soon as possible for multiple reasons I wanted to express my disappointment. Ask anyone who knows me, I recommend Panchos to everyone for a big authentic affordable meal Im not happy about having to drive back to KCMO from lees summit tonight to fix it it now. Since It’s so far. Drive, or take the loss. Simple. Panchos is smart not to have a phone number available to public, super convenient? Either way, at the end of the day I wasted time, money, gas, and my patience to drive to spend money to feed my 2, 5, 12, and 15yr old some spoiled/rotten, or both, food. It may be that someone accidentally left it out or something, and was lazy to make sure it meets the standards, right??? I’m not saying it wasn’t a honest mistake, im saying the managers/owners there deserve to have a trustworthy crew working as a team and representing the business thoroughly to make sure Panchos keeps their customers coming back for more. I’ll miss it. Sad that it’s not worth what’s it’s always been worth to me?. Like a lot of people say, they have good days and they have bad days, hit or miss. Never agreed with that until now. honestly if the incident did not involve rotten food I paid for but instead made incorrectly but still safe to eat, I wouldnt mind. You just don’t serve people rotten food. Is what it is.
Love coming here after a long night out. Sometimes the food is a hit or miss but it’s still better than Chipotle
