I love Missie B’s. Always get to see all my favorite people. It’s a great time, every night they have something going on!
It was so much fun and everyone was so friendly.
Fun atmosphere. Great staff. Even better prices. Only downside if you even count it as one: they are cash only. However there is an ATM at the entrance.
CASH ONLY!!! Doesnt take cards at the door or at the bar!!! Don’t come without cash! Place is stuck in history
Had a great first time experience at this bar! The drag show was why we visited. The queens were amazing and friendly! However, there was an issue with the audio. We were sitting in a booth at the back of the bar. Everyone in our group struggled to hear the music and none of us could understand what was being said on the mic. Even one of the queens stopped at our table during the performance and she said how hard it was to hear where she was in the song back there. We also didn't appreciate the bartenders slamming and dropping glass bottles all night long. It was super loud and scared everyone multiple times.
Turned 21 this weekend and went out Friday & Saturday… thinking of going again Tn (Sunday) lol. Drag show was a lot of fun but we cut it short to go upstairs to dance. Upstairs is more edm music but it’s a vibe and downstairs I think is more top 40 vibes. Definitely had a great time both nights, I love how inviting and inclusive the atmosphere is along with the loads of nice, fun people. Drinks aren’t too expensive, but they’re not cheap (they are a strong pour though). Def recommended Missys if you’re looking for a great night!
Missies is one of the few places I can express myself and my art fully, and generally without judgement. I love the Back 2 Basics open mic show. Victor is amazing and everyone e that gets up on that stage deserves the lime light.
Love the vibes. Everyone is super friendly and about having a good time.
Missie B's is a Kansas City Staple, and my favorite bar. There is always something going on, whether it's a drag show, something theatrical, or karaoke. Fun people, cheap drinks, great atmosphere, and inclusive to ALL!
Missies used to be so much fun until they replaced the DJ upstairs and now the music is horrible the floor is barely busy upstairs. I really wish they would replace him or bring back the old DJ. The only fun dance floor now is downstairs. The DJ upstairs just likes to play anything he likes but not the crowd. You would think after seeing the dance floor half empty he would get the hint. But instead of playing edm ppl know he wants to play everything no one knows. This will hurt business once Fountain Hause opens up.
