Amazing Mediterranean food! Best chicken shawarma sandwich in town! The market is also full of all kinds of delicious food you can’t find elsewhere. A real gem of a market!
I stopped in yesterday and ordered a Lamb & Beef Gyro. I shopped the market while I waited on my food to be done. I left with so much stuff at an affordable price and my gyro was fanatic! I highly recommend!

Just had a Greek Salad and Falafel and Hummus. OH MY GOSH!!! Delicious! Everything is fresh and so flavorful! Highly recommend. No pics though, we inhaled it.

I have eaten here for years. I would come from UMKC (Volker Campus) to often have lunch and many times dinner when it was known as Jerusalem Cafe! It has always been a family place with very good and friendly people who work very hard to make great-tasting Hilal food by a true chef, designer, and business man. Now that it is called Mediterranean Market (if such is possible), it has only gotten better!! My only wish is that I lived closer now that I am retired from UMKC.
My husband and I love this place. The food is SO good and affordable too. The tabouli salad and baklava are our favorites but we love everything. The grocery side of the store is also cool and a good place to find pantry staples and new fun things.
The best tabbouleh I've had in ages and great falafel wrap! The grocery side is spectacular and I have to contain myself to keep from buying too much there. The people are so nice, too and are always getting new stuff in.

Stopped by on recommendation by a fellow West Plaza neighbor! We got the traditional beef & lamb and the chicken gyro, hummus, fries, and some baklava. The hummus was one of the best I’ve ever had. The gyros were fantastic as well! We will definitely be adding this to our rotation for dinners and trying some of the grocery items!
