Barbie (waiters last name) was outstanding!! Strip steak was cooked to perfection (Pittsburg style, seared on both sides, cool in the middle). Wife had salmon, delicious. Started with the gnocchi appetizer (curd & bacon) was also delicious. We took our wine downstairs and listened to the jazz band for a few sets. Very enjoyable evening all around.
Filet, creamed spinach and grits were great! Joe was super helpful and knowledgeable. Chocolate dessert was yummy!
As promised, this venue delivered a great steak and great jazz. Top notch service complimented the food and the entertainment. What a wonderful dining experience.
Dined with best friends to celebrate my wife's birthday. Lower-level dining near the jazz group was nice. Everything was great and the steaks like always the best in town. It's nice that a few sides come with the main course and all of us loved the total dining experience!
Steak Soup was awesome
Best steak Iâve had in a long long time. Our waitress Rachel was awesome.
Ok overall
Nice vibes at this historic location. The live music was special and service was well attended. Our waiter Joe was great. But the food was disappointing. The price did not match the taste. We had 6 dining guests at our table and no one commented on any exceptional flavor - and 1 plate of fillet medallion returned for being over cooked.. At the price of $66 dollar a plate (approx) and a $500 total cost with no alcohol purchased, we had come to enjoy a 40th birthday celebration. We came home with a slightly âho-humâ experience, food wise. But a sweet atmosphere otherwise. We wonât be back too soon.
Authentic KC jazz club. Professional servers, very good food.
This was a crown ration fur our sons 40th bday. Very nice.
