When we couldn't get a late lunch at Union Station without a long wait, we took the short walk to Lulu's and experienced awesome Thai food. Our group likes heavy spice to no spice, and they absolutely accommodated that perfectly. The food was hot and fresh. Completely worth the trip.
I honestly wanted to thank Miranda for taking our table. We could tell the first serve wasn’t comfortable, mostly on the “we might not tip” part and decided to take a bigger party.Miranda was enthusiastic even before she introduced us to our first server. She was patient friendly and so sweet and always smiling! Thank you for being you. When you’re use to getting judge everyday, you know when someone is seeing you for you, and not the stereotypic way. Xoxo :)
Delicious food served quickly! We got the chicken pad Thai and the Banh Mi bowl special; both were increadible
Love this place. I had the beef and noodles EXTRA HOT. Absolutely delicious. Also had a couple of cocktails with my wife. She had a veggie dish. Lilith provided our service and was outstanding! Lilith provided excellent service, was super attentive, knowledgeable and nice.
Food is bland and needs more flavor not what I expected for Thai food. Kind of bummed because there aren't many vegan restaurants.
I had high hopes for Lulu's, I had heard lots of good things about it! But I was sadly disappointed. We had the chicken lettuce wraps and basil fried rice but both were very bland. I also had the Pad Thai which I thought was good, but then there was a piece of plastic in one of my bites - looked like it was part of the container but i checked and it wasn't my container. That kind of turned my stomach and I didn't want to eat anymore. Would not recommend.
Had lunch here on Saturday when roaming around the KC area. We had seen positive reviews on the place and can see why. We had generous portions, friendly service and when walking out saw a number of other dishes that made us wish we were closer to come to try them. I had the chicken & shrimp curry bowl, my husband the drunken noodles and we shared fried pot stickers. All were better than home, and we cook a lot!
Calamari was probably below average, being heavy on breading, and pad Thai was better than average. We chose the version which was less sweet, since it was supposed to be an exclusive recipe, and we did like it.
When I started ordering from here, the food was great. Recently, the food is just average and very expensive. I know there's a worker shortage in the restaurant industry so I'm giving grace here. I do think the food is stellar in better times. They serve fresh lemon with the meals I order and it brightens the flavor and food.
Visiting from Utah and found this cute place. The lettuce wraps are the best I've ever had!The service was great! Thanks Max!
