Delicious Food. Friendly Staff. Normal High KC Prices. Brunch is Amazing. Biscuits & Gravy was good. The Fried Chicken was Wonderful. Nice Dog Friendly Patio. Definitely a great place to bring guests for a delicious brunch.

Southern Fried Chicken is the best I’ve had. Smashed potatoes and greens

Warm and charming! Our server was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions! He was a delight! One.of the best chicken & waffles I've ever had and the dip trio is a must try. The biggest surprise was the collard rolls--great depth of flavor!

One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Amazing service, great atmosphere.

great food and great service. my waiter Matt was Awesome!!

Was looking for a spot to go and have a great soul food brunch. This spot is a local hidden gym. You have to book a reservation before you can enter. Babe and I walked to the establishment and was luckily able to grab a table at the Chef‘s corner. From the time we walked in up until we left the atmosphere was awesome the customer service was beyond impeccable and the food was deliciousness (FOODGASM).The order consisted of bottomless mimosas chicken and waffles seafood platter and banana pudding the total was 138.00

Wonder Southern cooking. Al food made fresh. I had the Pheasant with Rabbit steaw(forget the name) for appetizer. Then a wonderful Shrimp and grits with gravy. This is the best I found in KC area comparable to Charleston, SC that I use to eat. They Blackened Catfish was wonderful server with collard greens and dirty rice which had Andouille sausage. The service was wonderful, we were lucky to get in with out reservations, which I would recommend. The decor was wonderful great place for a date or ant time. They have a full bar and wonderful cocktails.

Everything is so cute! I would recommend getting a reservation if you're going on the weekend and want to sit inside. We sat outside on the patio as that was all they had on the Sunday morning we went. Would 100% recommend the orange roll. For food we both got the Country Breakfast and it was ok. The bacon and biscuit/gravy were really good but the eggs and potatoes were average. I will for sure come back, and try something else. Also our waitress was so so nice and attentive 10/10 on service.

Let me preface this by saying I am not a huge southern food fan!!! So with that said, this place was ok. Got three things and shared them with my girlfriend. All ordered off the brunch menu. The orange ? roll was very very sweet ?. It was good, but sweet and very orange. Lol. We also got the chicken and waffle ?? , which is a classic and tasted fine. Also sweet but it was just the right amount of sweet. Hugeeee portion as well. And finally we got the Carolina ham biscuit. This was a bit salty and the biscuit was rather hard… we also had to ask twice for some ketchup, but that’s no big deal. The atmosphere is cute. Food is average. Would potentially come back to try the dinner menu!

I was able to finally make reservations to check out Lula Southern Cookhouse and I am so glad that I did. Relaxing atmosphere, but definitely gets super dim when it's time for supper (so bring your glasses...and use the candle at your table). Loved being able to order different courses, but menu is definitely more seafood focused so everyone at the table didn't get to enjoy the Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp or the Triple Dip (allergies and their loss) because both of them were super tasty! I feasted on the Nola Pot Pie, which also tasted good reheated even though the crust wasn't crispy anymore, but I love that gumbo gravy inside. You have to at least try this place out, even though I did not enjoy the desserts, AT ALL, others in the restaurant were devouring it and the waitress went out of her way for me so I appreciated the extra effort. Will definitely go back again. Oh, and I need someone to package those Fire & Benne Crackers that come with the dip!
