noise level very loud after about 1/2 hr after being seated Food was OK portions of caramelle were somewhat small- did not like goat cheese ice cream
Table side mozzarella may be the best version of the dish I've had. Excellent homemade pasta. Great meal all around
A great experience overall. Food was fantastic and ambiance was nice.
A fabulous experience! The food was wonderful, the ambiance is hip yet elegant and the service was great!!!
The food and the ambiance were great but the service was extraordinary.
Is such a pretty venue & our servers were just fantastic! The food was overpriced especially especially the Mozzarella salad but was delicious. The food while flavorful just didnât seem fresh & wasnât warm. The chicken presentation was lovely but the chicken was greasy & not fresh. A real bummer. The pasta dishes were both quite flavorful but for âshareâ plates quite small. Really single servings.
Excellent meal !
Two thumbs up, as always. Steak and the new pizza options were amazing.
Perfect way to celebrate a birthday. Staff was excellent; friendly and helpful with perfect timing. Food was delicious. Loved the table side mozzarella experience
I have new favorite restaurant in Kansas City. Lazia. :-) Lazia is located inside the Crossroads hotel, an austere block of a building across the street from LuLu's. Parking around here can be a bit of trouble on the streets. Guests enter the Crossroads hotel by the main grand entrance. impressive. The bar on your left is immediately comfortable. It is wide open and inviting. To your left, you walk past the bar and you will see the large stone pizza oven. Two happy men were involved making pizzas. You could see and smell the pizzas cooking inside the oven. I like that. Our host was polite and friendly. She offered us a complimentary digestif apertif before dinner. This is a first for us in Kansas City. about time. :-) My son & I asked to sit @ the white marble bar. We met "Guilly", a kind and very professional bartender. His cleanliness, manicure, quiet demeanor and attention to details set the tone @ his bar. very upscale, not chummy. nice. I ordered focaccia. It was perfect. My son chose the halibut cerviche. The visual presentation was magnificent. We should have taken a picture. The flavor contrasts were even better than it looked. The dining room is medium sized, square and comfortable. For a Monday night, the room was busy @ 7pm. comfortable lighting, not a dark room, visually very pleasing. windows out onto the streets. I ordered one of the pizzas. My son chose Pomodoro. The pasta arrived to our bar first, so we shared it. al dente. perfect. delicious. When the pizza hit the bar, all things, the smells, the looks and how good it tasted competed for our attention. Our dinner was excellent. How could this get any better? dessert. I chose a house made chocolate gelato, that was drenched in a complex liquor. There was a generous scoop and quite enough for two people. We closed out our evening with an Amaro digestif bitters. There are many to choose from, so we asked Guilly to choose one for us. He did not hesitate to choose Averna Amaro. Thank you, Guilly. I watched the wait staff, manager and bar tender. They were professional, content in their work and quietly confident. I can see why. Lazia ROCKS. When is the last time you went to a restaurant that you wanted to go back to the next day? :-)
