This was hands down one of the most calm restaurants I have ever stepped foot in. My biggest pet peeve is loud, bright and overbearing restaurants and this place is the opposite. Not only was the food to die for, but the service was phenomenal. I came in when the Kitchen was closed but the sushi bar was open, so I only got sushi. Upon entering, I was greeted by not only the waitress, but the chef as well. Upon exit, I was wished a good day by both. The service was impeccable and I will surely be coming back during Kitchen hours to try more.

My son and I love sushi and wanted to try Kobi-q for the first time. We ordered and split the tempura shrimp, Korean fried chicken Szechuan style, Sci-Fi Movie roll and Spicy Tuna +crunch roll. Each item was literally flawless. The shrimp tempura was fresh and mild, and the Korean fried chicken was delicately battered and perfectly spiced. The sushi was absolutely the best sushi either my son or I have ever eaten. So so SO much better than what I’d become used to elsewhere. Rolls with perfect flavor combinations that somehow combine into a completely new palate experience, instead of being crammed full of cream cheese and tiny fish eggs that taste…well…FISHY.I can’t recommend Kobi-q highly enough. Even worth the drive to good-luck-finding-parking-nearby Westport.

I can't get enough of their poke bowls. Fresh, healthy, delicious, and reasonably priced. You can customize your ingredients on a self-ordering form. Lots of choices from salmon to tempura to broccoli. I like the Vietnamese sauce on mine. I have not yet tried the other menu items because I love the bowls so much!

Good selection of sushi and sashimi. Great taste and a few other options besides sushi. A bit slower service on a Saturday but that can almost be expected considering it is in a nightlife/bar district.

Food is good, service could be improved. Staff was not very attentive to guest needs.

Good sushi, reasonable priced. Cocktails on the pricey side, 1 drink was more than the roll. Atmosphere was quiet.

Both wings and crab Rangoon were cold and unappetizing. Rolls were bland. Will go back to Friends sushi next time.

Just as wonderful as the other location. Very good sushi rolls. Cool atmosphere. Try the dry rub Korean Fried Chicken.

I was itching to try this place out for a long long time and finally got the opportunity to do so tonight with my boyfriend. We initially went in at around 2:30 in the afternoon and was told they only serve the Poké bowl during lunchtime. Since I was craving sushi, we decided to come back after dinner hours were in effect (4:30 PM onwards). The restaurant is small but it had a nice, almost romantic atmosphere to it, with cute little LED candles on each table. The service was very attentive and prompt with refills. We ordered the Spicy Tuna roll ($9.00) and the Shrimp Tempura Udon ($15.00) to share. The spicy tuna roll was tasty, though I wish it was a little spicier. I tried the accompanying ginger and was pleasantly surprised with the nice citrusy taste; I'm usually very picky with ginger but this time it was pretty good.I quite enjoyed the Shrimp Tempura Udon. It came with a few different tempura items, including shrimp, zucchini, and a lone surprise onion ring. The oiliness wasn't overwhelming thankfully and the accompanying sweetish sauce was delicious. The udon noodles were great and satisfied another long-standing craving of mine. The broth was interesting, kind of seafood-ish (boyfriend described it as a little like fish oil flavor) and had lots of scallions and chopped mild chili peppers, with a hint of sweetness to it. I can't exactly place my finger on the exact flavor but it was tasty. My only real gripes about this place is the priciness (though that's to be expected, sushi isn't known for being a 'cheap' food) and how it seems like it's never open. It was also a little strange that they were serving -only- Poké bowls at lunch even though the website lists a lot more items available for lunch. Other than that, I suppose it's worth coming back for to fulfill a sushi craving every once in a while.

Been here twice, food was excellent both times. The sushi is fresh and delicious. The Korean fried chicken is the perfect combination of crispy and juicy.
