So delicious, I love their sesame rice balls and spicy crispy chicken kin lin style. One of my fav restaurants in KC..
Over the years, the quality has varied -- as of this writing, it's been on (at least) a 5-year run of really good food. Highlights? The Kin-Lin Chicken, anything Spicy Crispy, and the appetizer platter. Pro tip? Get the General Tso and add pineapple (Trust me). It's also my favorite egg-drop soup in the city. (tasty without being incredibly salty and light but hearty broth). Best of all? The servers. Every one of them I've encountered has been helpful, efficient, and incredibly friendly.
I ordered take out and was thoroughly disappointed. I was charged for chili crisp that I did not receive. Eggplant and tofu in garlic sauce was in a pool of cooking oil. Mushu barely seasoned. No sauce no pancake. When I called to complain I was told not to come back. You will not see me there again EVER!
Some of the best Chinese in the city. The lunch specials are affordably priced and you get a lot of food. They always use fresh ingredients and have prompt service. Lots of Asian students eat here so I imagine many of the dishes I’m not adventurous enough to try are very authentic.
KIN LIN is my favorite Chinese restaurant in town! It specialized in authentic Hunan style Chinese food. Decent atmosphere and decor. Service is good as well. Please stay open for years?.
The waiter is very friendly and knowledgeable about food on menu. The hot and sour soup was pretty good. Spicy chicken we ordered was alright, I didn’t find it spicy. The hot & spicy chicken wings were very crispy but too greasy and I thought they were overcooked.
I had the sweet and sour chicken and shrimp.it wasnt good.there was barely any chicken and shrimp..the rice and the pork rolls was the best part..the waiters were great except for they brought us soda in a can ..thats something that should be for take out .not for sitting at the table..the fast food chinese restaurants are better then this place is
Great food. Terrible customer service (NOT the server, but someone who answered the phone).
Good restaurant. The flavor was good and the price was okay. It also had some really nice decor.
Up until today I was always satisfied with Kin Lin. But tonight I ordered food to be delivered at 6pm. I arrived home with my kids at 5:18pm and the food was already on the porch. I gave them a call and was told it was delivered at 5:15pm. Thought that's not bad. Gave food to my son and myself and started eating. Checked my camera to see when it was actually delivered as it was colder than I thought it should be. Delivery was done at 4:52pm! So I call back only to be hung on twice. Once I do talk t o the gentleman who told me the first time it was delivered at 5:15pm. I am told to give me a refund I need to give them back the food. The food I have taken away from my son and thrown away. So now I have a bag of trash sitting outside for them to pickup to refund all of $40. I will never order or eat here again. Food is good but this service is horrible.
