Food was really good. But feel like the procedures in place could be greatly overhauled. As a Mac and cheese place. You shouldn't ever have to have people wait 20-30 minutes to order,, cause you have to get more pasta cooked. And to not have the fritters available, because they hadn't been thawed yet, after being open for 3 hours, is another prime example.
food was ?. Great Service as well and didn't wait a long time for our food
If you’re a Mac & cheese lover, you have GOT to give this place a try. I order on door dash around once a month as a treat and I’ve never had a single complaint. Food is always fresh and delicious & consistently great.I seriously can’t say enough good about KC Mac & Co! If you or a loved one is a real Mac & cheese lover, this is the last restaurant you’ll ever need to go to
A great performance must be followed by yummy foods! After the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performance last night, we elected to go to Parlor KCMO and started at KC Mac N' Co. where chef Dwight Tiller AKA The Mac and cheese guru is laying down the law. OMG! It was LIT! Curles of macaroni trapping gooey cheesy liquid gold baked until a bubbly cheesy golden crust is achieved then topped with crispy, Juicy buttermilk/buffalow marinated fried chicken drenched in a spicy honey serrano pepper glaze. #eatlikealadyshould
Dined at KC Mac N' Co. for the first time today and overall I thought it was a nice mac! I got 'Just the Mac' with 6 cheeses. I enjoyed the oregano and variety of cheeses to make a unique sauce. It also came out piping hot! Like steaming hot so I appreciate the freshness. I am usually not a fan of cavatappi noodles because they always taste undercooked to me so luckily there was enough sauce to disguise this quality. The mac was definitely stringy too and the top was browned perfectly. Overall the dish itself was good! The only reason I didn't give five stars was a lack of vegetarian options (every dish had meat except the mac I got and fried macaroni) or options to add/substitute. I also could not get a side of sauce to give it more heat or flavor so pretty much what you get it what you get. For the price I thought it was a little underwhelming ($12+ w/tax and tip, yikes). I find it hard to find many vegetarian options at all inside Parlor so this is not necessarily a fault of this venue alone but I appreciate options. I also did not experience an inviting atmosphere from staff. They seemed very busy so that could be why. Would try again to see if I have a different experience next time.
Decided to check out the Mac N' Co.. and was not impressed. This is not my first time trying this spot out and it is a hit and miss.Patronage this restaurant 3 times total wanting to give it a chance and the mac n' cheese each time was bland.Today I decided to try the brunch out. Ordered the serano mac n' cheese and it was completely soupy on top of being bland.I went to ask the workers is this how it's suppose to be an employee stated "I mean yeah, it just depends on how long she cooks it." Unacceptable if I'm spending money.Ordered the co cobbler and the crust was burnt and over cooked. Furthermore, I asked for marinara sauce and was charged ($1.75) which was not worth it... please stick to store bought marinara. There is no consistency with their food.
Tucked away in the corner on the first floor of Parlor is this gem. If you don’t like a sweet and spicy combo, don’t try their original. I personally enjoyed my meal and the spice that came along with it. Very cheesy and delicious! Staff were helpful, clean, and very speedy! I enjoyed a drink from the bar and the beautiful view of the city ❤️
Stopped here on a Friday afternoon and my husband ordered the Chick N Waffle. Oh. My. Gosh. Incredible! We debated ordering more and taking it with us. You can tell they put their heart into their craft. This is a spot you don’t want to miss, in the heart of KCMO.
I love this stuff I think it's sooo filling . But them lil peppers hit you with the oohwhop. But some times I want thinner chicken with more sweet honey on it . I guess I could ask but I just haven't. Silly me.
Service was great, but the Mac & Cheese Balls were very bland. The macaroni inside was close to tasteless, and the dipping marinara was in line with cheap jarred sauce. The Chicken & Waffles plate was a bit more flavorful, but for the price point, not at all worth it. When specializing in macaroni and cheese, the Mac & Cheese HAS to be superb, in my opinion. KC Mac N' Cheese has a lot of opportunity for improvement.
