We ended up having a great experience here. We got a beef gyro, with the dressing on the side... and 15-20 minutes later, when we got home, it still tasted nice and fresh.Given that the dressing is vinaigrette-based rather than yogurt-based, that may be something to take into consideration if you are ordering food to go.
Absolutely the best! My daughter and I stopped by for lunch and got gyros, falafel and the gyro fries. It was all out of this world good, do yourself a favor and try it!
Good place to grab a quick meal on the go.
I had to come by here a second time just in case my first time (not my favorite experience) was a fluke. You know that I really hate to give anybody less than 5 or 4 stars, but I have some serious issues with this food. While the service was great, the food left quite a bit to be desired. The pita was not terribly fresh, or at least needed to be thrown on the grill. It completely fell apart as I tried to eat. The gyro meat was not the worst, but it was considerably dry. The baklava has been in the refrigerator for some time, and just had a cold, refrigerated taste to it. Finally, there are no prices outside. Paying $13 for a mediocre meal made this even more painful. I feel like if they put a little effort into the quality of their food, this could be a really great food truck.
This is a food truck that has found a home at the state line corner location. Nice variety of the classic Greek offerings. From beef to vegetarian, these gyros are stuffed with non typical veggie cuttings. The insides are chopped so you actually taste the various flavors. Perhaps a little too tough for sone people to chew, but great for those with choppers. The seasonings are on par with fast service and hot temperatures. A little pricey for the fare but good portion size. Really looked forward to the baklava, however these triangle shaped pieces were a little less tasty. Wrapped in aluminum foil, the pastry stuck to the sides making them messy. One could tell they were pre-made and stored in refrigeration for an unknown period of time. But that is to be expected of food truck fare. There are different size meal offerings and quite a selection of specialty drinks. We will try it or another location again.
First and only time I will order from here. Food was very disappointing. Meat was burnt and tough. No sauces were sent. The guy I talked to was super nice but he couldn’t explain what happened to my order.
Basically trash, small portions, heavy white pieces of iceberg lettuce, small and burnt pieces of beef, very generic almost stale pita. No option for lamb? I suggest Olive Cafe or never on sunday in kc mo.
This is my favorite food truck in Kansas City. Their Gyros are amazing and they have some of the best fries I found in the city! The customer service is amazing. After developing a severe dairy allergy I thought I would never again be able to appreciate their white sauce. I had been ordering my Gyros without the white sauce until last night when my delivery came with a note saying that their white sauce is in fact dairy free and they sent me a small cup of their white sauce for me to once again add to my Gyro. Thank you KC Gyro Guys!
I ordered the chicken rice platter and it was okay, under seasoned but I wouldn't go back. I also ordered the baklava which was very small for the price and overcooked but tasted fine.
Would be nice if that old guy can retire already. He can never get an order right, is extremely rude and pretty sure spit in the food. I threw the food at truck thats how disgusting this experience was. DONT BUY FROM HERE.. YOU have been warned.
