Yes this is the place if you are trying to beat the heat and cool off with a delicious drink. I got the Salvy with a splash of pineapple. Make sure you tip your waitresses oh and I believe Tech 9 has a stake in this company....The drinks hit hard and are worth the price . The food is good and the location is prime...I like to enjoy the daquiri on the patio.
I really want to like this place! Visited 2 times on a weekend, mid-afternoon. Not very busy and the staff is attentive. The daiquiris are as tasty as one might expect, but I have a serious problem with the shop's ethics. If they advertise a 16oz daiquiri for $11, I expect to get 16oz! My mathin' ain't all too good, but the last time I checked, 12oz does NOT equal 16oz! So, the way I see it, this shop still owes me 8oz of daiquiri's for the $28 I ultimately dropped in the joint. Now, I understand 'pint' is sometimes confused with a 12oz American pour, but 16 IS 16. Figguritout!KC has a ton of other awesome venues. Hope this place makes some adjustments and survives, but I don't see myself going back.
Purely My Opinion...a friend picked this spot for her birthday. It will never be my choice.The only drinks available are sugary pre-made daiquiri things, in different flavors, from a machine. I love a good daiquiri, this wasn't it. I wouldn't have squawked at $13 for quality. This wasn't. No wait staff, you have to stand in line. We sat outside, and the music was still too loud for Happy Hour. It was an interesting crowd. A man I think was an owner was very nice, as was the manager. Just not my kind of place. I wish them well.
Great time and experience this weekend. The daiquiris were the right mix, not too sweet yet powerful! We especially loved the fact that it was right across the street from our hotel, the Ambassador. Great drink, great sleep. Will definitely return when I come back to KC!
Pretty good! I ordered the shrimp Etouffee. It was seasoned well. The cornbread was a little too buttery. I live a good buttery piece of starch but it was too much. The staff was quick & friendly. Overall, I would return.

I read about this place on FB, so while on staycation we visited. Let me tell you you will not be disappointed. It’s not a fancy place, you walk up to the counter an order and they bring it to your table. The food was amazing! We have been to Louisiana and let me tell you this compares to the goodness we had in Louisiana. The young lady that waited on us that was the bartender was so friendly and was very helpful. And the daiquiri I had was wonderful. If you haven’t been you really should try this place. We found out why we were there that there is a KC daiquiri shop in Overland Park as well that is more of an upscale restaurant that we will be visiting for sure. They also have a loyalty program.
This place has more fights than a UFC pay per view. Daqs are okay. After 6pm you better be prepared to throw hands. About that same time the smell of fried food is replaced by the smell of a Bob Marley concert. Every week the cops are called to close the place down. Attend at your own risk.
Ordered the wings n shrimp combo. They said it would take 30 min and i was kool with that. It was worth the wait. I ordered the parmesan garlic and buffalo for my sauces just because i didn't know what they would taste like i had them put on the side. The parm was ok, but the Buffalo was on point and would've drenched everything with it if i had the whole bottle. I didn't try the daiquiri because they were all alcoholic and i was driving. The customer service was good although 1 waitress could've stayed off her phone until we finished ordering. Lol. The place could use a some fresh paint other than that it was A nice time there. Hope to go back n try the specials.
