We celebrated an important anniversary last night at Julep. The drinks were wonderful and the charcuterie plate we ordered was perfect. The space has a tasteful ambience and vibe. The bartender and staff were excellent. We highly recommend Julep
Loved the drinks here! Fairly priced for the quality, taste, and presentation. I had the traditional Julep and house chips.My wife got the fries (they were crispy and looked great too). I would recommend to offer some seasoning on those fries or maybe loaded fries.

Terrible service. We went last night for a friend's birthday party and I couldn't believe how awful the service was.We had a private room booked for our party and were forced to move twice (once to another room until another private room reservation arrived, again to the main floor with two tables smashed together). Because we were in the center of the main area we couldn't hear each other or visit. If we wanted a standard bar seating arrangement we would have simply sat there.On top of being shuffled around, during the night several drinks were taken off the table before they were finished and the prices in the whisky book were not accurate (everything we asked for somehow cost more than what was listed, at random by staff). Recommend you remove the price and simply ask people to ask wait staff.We were understanding to a point, especially knowing how crazy things are bouncing back from COVID, but the lack of accommodation for a special event was outrageous.Absolutely will not be going back.
We reserved a room: they kicked us out when a bigger group arrived. We went to the back room: they kicked us out for a bigger group. We ended up sitting right next to the bar, all 10 of us. Then, they told us the liquor menu prices were not right and that it would be more expensive than advertised.My friend loves this place so we did his birthday here, but I will never be back of my own volition.
I recently moved to Kansas City and attended a birthday party at Julep yesterday evening. After hearing such good things about the place I was shocked to find that the private room/table we booked and we were already sitting at was needed for another group shortly after we arrived. We were told from the server we had to be moved to make room for a bigger party and that they had double booked over us. We get moved to another room but shortly thereafter were asked to be moved again... because it was a friend's birthday party we didn't want to risk leaving and not find seating somewhere else for our group. We were moved in to the main bar where the servers put a couple of tables together for us. To round it all off everytime we would order from the whiskey list they would just make up the prices - for instance we ordered Jonny Walker Blue and the price book states that they are $26 dollars each and some how we get charged $30.. I asked the waitstaff why this was and the only answer she could give me is that I'd have to ask the manager who conveniently wasn't there. We specifically chose Julep as a group of whiskey drinkers (spending upwards of $1,000) and were extremely disappointed. Won't be back.

Great atmosphere although it's small
This bar was a wonderful breath of fresh air. They had true mixologist working. Bartenders that knew the art of making a good cocktail. Everything tasted good. Was presented beautifully. A bar that just seemed classier than most places. There are cheaper places around, but I think it was worth the money here for the quality of service. And the well presented drinks.
