Found a piece of hard black plastic, about the size of a dime, in my "Pork Delight". Almost broke a tooth on it. Showed it to the manager who said it was a mussel shell! I asked her what a mussel shell was doing in the Pork Delight? She said she would show it to the cook. As far as the manager was concerned, that was the end of the discussion. Silverware was greasy with food residue. Wasabi at sushi buffet was undergoing some weird phase separation phenomenon with slimy liquid floating on top. Used to be a good place to eat. If you still feel the need to eat here be sure to get a tetanus shot beforehand.
We LOVE dining at Joy Wok! The food here is always amazing. The sushi is so fresh and clean. I've never been to a cleaner buffet! The servers are always nice and quick to refill drinks. Great selection of food, including the dessert bar! We come here almost every week.
We had a great lunch today. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Our server, Angela was the nicest server I've have in forever... Any where!!! It makes my day to see a super friendly employee! Will definitely be back soon.
You can't go wrong at Joy Wok. Such a variety. Reasonable, clean, food is really good. If you don't know what your hungry for, Joy Wok is the place. Especially if you like crawfish, they do a Great job. One of my favorites. The help are very friendly, prompt cleaning your table, and filling your drinks.
Just had a late lunch at Joy Wok in Liberty. Very poor experience. I gave 2 stars as a courtesy and to not seem like a total jerk. Nothing about the food or the buffet or the utensils etc could be described as fresh or clean. I won’t be going back, and would not recommend. If I wanted to re-create that dining experience at home, I’d be eating cold ramen noodles off of the bathroom floor.
I went here for lunch the Saturday before last and woke up the next morning very ill with food poisoning and needed about 3 days to recover. I had eaten here 8 to 10 times in the past with no problems so figured it was safe, but the city inspection from my complaint found 5 critical violations and 8 noncritical violations. I won't eat here again.
This is my first time back since the buffet was back to normal. I love the food at Joy Wok. I enjoy their selection as well. Employees are always nice and helpful. I left over full. Will return many times over.
My experience the first time 4 years ago was great. The staff is pleasant and attentive but not overbearing.The quality of the food isn't the same. I was disappointed. Your experience might be different. I went for the lunch buffet. Dinner might be better.
I wouldn't give it one star. I wish I read the reviews before ordering from this place. The food has a foul taste like it's contaminated or has chemicals in it. I requested a full refund as I wanted. to return all of the food. The lady I spoke with was very rude and told me they didn't give refunds meanwhile they don't have a written refund policy listed anywhere. She insisted on going in circles and I even opted to accept half of my money back. I'm pregnant and if I get food poisoning from this place, I will take every legal action possible against them.
It was okay. Wasn't a huge fan of the breading on the chicken. Crag ragoons had a strange taste which was pretty disappointing. The hibachi grill was good but didn't have alot of options of vegetables. Probably won't visit here again when we go to Kansas City.
