AMAZING! Such a great food and service experience. Leslie is an amazing host! First time here and would 100% recommend to everyone

If you haven't been here, you need to make it a priority. We all ordered different things and traded around and there wasn't anything that I didnt want more of. Cant say enough about this place. Check it out sooner than later.

I order the 3 pound fish was delicious and a margarita ? I pay $77 with tip ?

Good food and atmosphere!

We had a reservation for 4 people at 7:00 last night at Jarocho South and when we got there the restaurant was totally dark and closed. What makes this and the reason i am writing this review is that management did not reach out to us and others that had confirmed reservations to say they were closing the restaurant. It was snowing but other restaurants were open and packed with people. I did call also before we came, and no one answered the phone and there was no message saying they closed because of the weather. We went and had a wonderful meal and service at Bamboo Penny's at Park Place, and it was packed.

It was good, small place without a romantic atmosphere, but the food more than makes up for it. I had the cucharacha shrimp meal. Shrimp with a spicy sauce, Spanish rice and purple cabbage slaw. I'm going to tell you right up front, the flavor on that shrimp was awesome!, But three to four bites in the heat makes you sweat. If I had mixed the rice into it I could have handles it better. So flavorful tho. My husband had the ceviche, it was also good. It's a little pricey tho. $26 for my dish alone.

My wife and I came there Saturday night before Valentines day. The waitress that was waiting on us was new and had no clue on what she was doing. We didn’t get our drinks for at least 20 to 30 minutes. When I mentioned it to another server she ended up taking care of our table and her service was pretty good considering there were only three servers and the place was packed.I ordered my wife the large live lobster for her and when it came out it was so rubbery she could not eat it. The waitress did offer her to have another entrée brought out of a different sort and by the time her entrée came out mine was cold. We ordered shrimp Diablo for an appetizer. We had a couple of drinks a piece. We didn’t even make it home to North Kansas City before we started vomiting. My wife has an auto immune disorder and it involves her intestinal track. We both became very ill and I had to take her to the hospital. I called the very next day and spoke with the manager at the South location and she indicated she would get with the chef because she couldn’t understand why we would have gotten food poisoning. I explain to her that the doctors at the hospital tested us for everything under the sun and it was food poisoning. I never received a call back so I called the Kansas City Kansas location and spoke with a gentleman name Seth. He told me that he would email and call the owner and explain this to him and that he would be in contact with me within the next day or two. We have not heard a peep out of either location. We have been to both locations many times and have never had a bad experience until now. We will never go back and recommend not wasting your time or money. Our bill was $175 and I still tipped 20%.

1st time here. Highly recommend it. Excellent service by Tyler. He knows his stuff! Great authentic Mexican seafood with lots of selections served fresh and hot. Really a gem for south KC. We definitely will be regulars!

All around an awesome experience. We ordered a lot of food and it was top notch. Service was also amazing. Had the super premium margaritas and they were delicious. I really like this restaurant and i will be back.

Cocktails were a hit or miss. Some dishes were priced right while others were way overpriced with very little seafood. Not sure if we'd go back.
