These are amazing tacos. I've been enjoying these powdered cheese prizes since childhood. Now I take my kids and they enjoy the tacos too.
Used Google to find? a recommended burrito place as that is what I was in the mood for. Sorry I chose In-A-Tub. I wanted a soft chicken burrito. They do not have chicken or rice? Thought to myself that's not a good sign but went and ahead and ordered the beef and been burrito with cheese. What I got was the proverbial "Gas station" burrito deep fried with a cheddar? cheese type sauce poured over the outside of it. It was small crunchy and without flavor even after using the mild sauce I asked for. Order taker, he was not super friendly nor unfriendly just matter of fact which is fine. The girl at the window was very nice and friendly. I did not try anything else but can't imagine how they got a 4.3 rating? Maybe stick to the burgers??
The BEST tacos in the world!! They are deep fried, so they are super crispy, a little greasy (in a good way). If you order beef and cheese, the cheese is placed inside the taco before they are fried, so its melted and blends into the meat. After frying they put in the lettuce and taco sauce, then they sprinkle the top with powdered cheese. Heavenly. You have to try them to understand.They have a ton of other items on the menu, but once I had one of their tacos, I quit reading the menu because I always order the same thing. LOL.
Food wasn't great. Burritos were very small and tasted like frozen burritos. Meat in the tacos had no flavor, only tasted grease. The restaurant was clean and the people were friendly.
Close whenever they feel like. Drove an hour each way to get this with my family, get there at 9:05 when they are open until 10, yet they were closed. Rude employee just said "sorry closed" and then wouldn't reply at the box. I called and informed management what happened and that I was coming to replace part of my last meal that was incorrect already, they said sorry and that hours vary. No offer of making it right at all. Been coming here for years, don't think I'll be returning. What a shame.
This is really good food when you're intoxicated after a night out. Decent tacos, the fried pickles and corn nuggets were good, but my girlfriend didn't like her fried mushrooms. We won't return sober lol
In-A-Tub is absolutely amazing, I love it! Great food, especially the taco salad that I always get.
I was not quite sure what to expect when my friend suggested “In a Tub” on my recent trip to KC - your tacos are WONDERFUL!! Highly recommend!!
Found this place on Google maps. Want to grab a few tacos before heading to the airport. I should have looked at their menu first. They do not have chicken tacos. Had to go with a chicken sandwich (which was 2 chicken tenders on a bun) and fries. Not bad at all. Chicken was crispy, and the butter bun was a good match. Very small place, cashier was friendly and area was clean. Place has a few TV's, so you have a little entertainment while eating.
First off this place may not appeal to most people, but if you know, you know. This is a northland institution "Famous for tacos". The service is fast, friendly and always pleasant. If you've never heard of powdered cheese before then you need to try In a Tub. I gotta give em' 5 stars just for that. Was working in the area, so this time around I got the Burrito everything for lunch.
