Had the quattro formaggio pizza and it was phenomenal the prices were very fair and the food was fresh.
Just get it more done in the center, it's nice and crispy towards the edges but it droops big-time in the center with the kind of Raw feeling. Your stone remains cool especially the more you cook on it. This should be known by your Pizza cooker.
Unplanned first visit. Won't be the last! Great pizza, good wine, comfortable space. A little warmer and we would've been on the patio. Bliss.
Il Lazzarone has the best pizza in Kansas City HANDS DOWN! This is the best Neapolitan pizza I've had since I last went to NYC (just as good as Lombardi's). The crust is just perfect and the meats and sauces are perfectly done. It's never as good as take out so im glade that the pandemic is getting better so that we can start going back. Just know that their patio isn't always open so call ahead to find out.
I really want this place to be as good as it was in the past. I have been visiting this restaurant for about 3 years. Every time I return it gets worse. The bar has less drink options. They advertise a happy hour but don't have any happy hour specials. The staff has changed. During lockdown I supported them and the staff and pizzas were really good. Now the staff and quality of food has really declined. It's no surprise that the restaurant is mostly empty now.
The pizza was not as good as what they had in the past, soggy in the middle. They say they have happy hour prices on the web page but charge regular price. Bar options are limited and out of items. Service is below average.
The flavors of the Supremo Pizza we had were great – generous toppings (without overdoing it) with a tangy sauce. Very thin crust. As loaded as the Supremo is, you'll need a fork.

THE MOST AUTHENTIC ITALIAN PIZZA I FOUND. I get it, New York pizza it’s a thing in this country but I miss my Italian pizza from Europe. I was so happy when I found this place so we came to taste it. It was so perfect! We ordered the vegetables ones and the ricotta cheese one. Both extremely delicious! This is my new favorite place for pizza here!! I’ll keep adding photos ?My only tiny “but” would be how they add the spices like fresh basil before baking and they burn it a bit. Leaves are supposed to add after baking the pizza.
