Will not eat here ever again, if you call it eating,@ around 8 something PM,when they don't close till 10 PM, there was hardly no food, workers & waitress was so rude, what food that was out at the buffet was old, rubbery, cold & tasted nasty, even asked to talk to manager, who was also nonresponsive, ask to speak to owner & what his name was, He did not want to tell me his name, had to ask 3# times, only first name. What a shame, I had bragged about this place with my companion as last time I had went during the pandemic it was awesome! The service, food and common Courtesy was just horrible.DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE. When I had asked if they might be able to bring out any other food was met with a Stern NO! Had asked one more time because I thought maybe I had misunderstood she said " I said no"! Food was also scattered on the main floor, looked around at other customers to see what they may be eating & noticed the were only drinking beverages, when asked what we wanted to drink ,my friend asked what they had, was told sodas & tea.
Great food and excellent waitress. Top quality experience! They have Mongolian and typical Chinese.
One of my favorite places to eat. Delicious food and it's always nice and clean. This place got my son to enjoy eating broccoli and if I say we are going that's the first thing he says he wants, the beef and broccoli. I wish I could eat here all the time.
Have genuinely never had a negative experience here. Food is always fantastic, the staff is attentive and very nice, its never too noisy or too busy and there's plenty of stuff that is food allergy friendly. Hong's has become something of a hangout place for my best friends and I and it's the first food place I went after a bad stay in the hospital. Love this place.
Like many Chinese buffets, some of the furniture is old and a bit worn, but they keep the buffet clean, the food is good (love the coconut shrimp), the servers are nice and non-demanding while being very attentive, and the ambiance is nice. A good place to sit and relax and chat for a while. We've been here many times over the years with kids at different ages and different family members. We keep coming back.
The ladies that understood English were nice and polite. Cleared the dishes away fast.
When it comes to Mongolian style BBQ in the Northland, we don't have much to choose from that's actually good. Hongs is pretty decent. It's not the best, but it's far from the worst. Every time I have gone the food at the buffets has been fresh. Wait staff are attentive. Selection at the Mongolian grill buffet isn't the best but it works.Ambience of the place is pretty dark even when it's a bright sunny day.Hongs satisfies a food itch without having to drive all the way to midtown or JoCo. You probably won't love it but you won't walk away hungry or get sick the next day. Can't say that for many of the Asian places north of the river.
How is the place so highly rated? It's absolutely filthy. From the walls to the booths, to the buffet area. Everywhere is so dirty and nasty that I can't imagine what the kitchen actually looks like.
I've always liked this buffet. Good variety of food, and friendly service. Prices have gone up quite a bit though. And, the grill needs to be cleaned better or they need a new one. The food off the grill burns pretty easy. The Hot & Sour soup has a different recipe ?.
Great place and great atmosphere. Very friendly staff and great service. Plenty of hot, fresh food on the bars. Mongolian grill is top notch. Very clean restaurant and bathrooms.
