food was fantastic and fresh!!
My friends and I went out to eat on the weekend. It was a disappointing experience I had there. My friend had found a small black hair in her Pho and brought it to the owner’s attention. The owner had refused that the hair belongs to them and gaslighted us saying that it was our hair. My friend barely ate her Pho and the owner said she would only charge us half price for that dish specifically. It was 40 minutes before closing and two other customers had came in. The owner told them they could only do take outs. Two more customers had came in and she told them that the cook wanted to go home.
Awesome people and food! Been there dozens of times. Highly recommend.
There's nothing better than a small family restaurant. The food is delicious and exciting, the decór is very inviting and interesting to the eye. With many menu options, you can go there every day and try something new.
It was really good, this was actually one of my favorite not only Vietnamese restaurants, but actually one of my favorite restaurants in the kc area.
When my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We would come her for our “forget our problems” afternoon. The staff was / always kind. The food is amazing. Years after her passing I still go and pick up food for my wife. We both love this amazing restaurant. And we will always be regulars. With happy memories and amazing food. This place is a KCMO landmark.
Fantastic chicken and vegetable soup dumplings in broth! Comes with a side of cilantro/mint and sprouts. Hearty, filling and so warming!
Don't be forced to add a tip when paying. I gave a busboy a tip once and the owner took it away from him. There is no accountability and we don't know that the workers actually get it. Some owners use tips to pay the staff their small wage, thereby getting free labor!
Unfortunately, very disappointed with the experience. My main criticism is how salty ALL the dishes were (both soups and noodle ones). Honestly, at times it was almost inedible it was SO salty. You always expect a little extra salt when you get food out in places but this was just unpleasant. My second criticism was that you barely get any of the “proteins” in your dishes. Someone in our table got the dumpling and pork soup and it came with ONE dumpling; one! And two others got shrimp dishes that came with one/two shrimps, respectively. You’re not paying cheap either, dishes run between $10-12 - you should absolutely be getting a bit more bang for your buck. It feels a bit like we’re being ripped off if I’m being honest - and as a customer, it’s a pretty miserable feeling.
Sadly i have to put only one star and wish there is zero star for this restaurant. Without a doubt, the worst customer service by its owner! I couldn’t believe the asian owner was fighting with a bad attitude to put a tip without our consent!! The food was so terrible that we couldn’t finish it . Our entree came before our small appetizer. Go figure ! Don't go there or you will regret it .
