Greaaaaat? Nice spot for an late lunch early dinner. Plenty of options of great tasting local favorites. The bread is spectacular. I tried the grilled chicken avocado with bacon. Mmm very good. Almost forgot to get pictures. Don't forget to try and sneak upstairs for seating to look down on the peasants walking by ?️
I've eaten here 3 times. Each time I enjoyed good food, fantastic service, and expeditious seating. The atmosphere is very tasteful and relaxed. The setting was casual but classy.Yesterday I was taking to the upper level. I had a wide open view of most of the shops and entryways. The tables were small but there was ample space between them. The ? was perfectly crisped. The ham was thick and juicy. My ? were browned, crisp, but soft internally. Scrambled ? were light, fluffy, and delectable! The restaurant was moderately busy.
Came for Sunday brunch. Was told seating for brunch had closed. Even though the web site says brunch is until 3 and it was about 2:35 when I arrived. Decided to stay and order from the menu because my mom really enjoys this place. We each ordered the fried chicken dinner, which for me, was ok. The biscuit was really hard and inedible, which was a big disappointment. The potatoes were really good and made up for the oily green beans. And as I’m sitting here trying to get through this meal, I notice all the employees devouring what’s left of the buffet. Guess that’s why we couldn’t get sitted for the buffet, had to save some for themselves. Someone, maybe a manager, came and asked us if everything was delicious, I said no and complained about the biscuit, she then insisted on bringing us some rolls from the buffet (are you serious!!) and the rolls were cold, like right from the refrigerator cold!!
I hadn't been since pre-pandemic, but the food was excellent. The waffles absolutely melt in your mouth, perfectly cooked bacon. The chicken wings were golden brown and crisp. I was very pleased with my chicken & waffles, I decided to have. I just struggled to eat my $29.00 dollars worth of food.
The station was so cool, so much history, so much Character. We weren’t able to really see all they had but what we could see looked really cool. The restaurant overlooking the station looked like a really nice place to eat.
Great food great service Ashley was awesome! The atmosphere was great, an old train station. With all the art and stories etc.
This was a wonderful place to eat lunch before heading to the Ballet. I do recommend reservations, the food was good the Gumbo was amazing. Price was about $15 a dish, which for area very reasonable. The ambiance was wondering sitting in the historic Union Station looking at the architecture and watching people walk by, just imagine what it was like back in the day. They have a 2nd floor like seating, we didn't have time to wait for a table there, but would be a wonderful play to see everything. If you want a higher $$$$ there is another restaurant in the station, enjoy this while you can. BTW you can walk out to the tram stop and head to Kaufman performing Arts for the Ballet.
Sunday brunch buffets are back! And no better place than Harvey's at KC's magnificently restored Union Station. The variety and presentation of dishes was outstanding. All this for $27.50. You won't be disappointed. Tip: The parking instructions say "2 hour FREE Parking in the west lot validated with meal purchase". It's actually a multi-level garage.
Fantastic breakfast, nice atmosphere inside Union Station in Kansas City. We are in town for a conference and looking for good breakfast outside our hotels nearby. Great eggs, crisp thick bacon, nice potatoes, avocado toast was great. Good service.
Great location for a bite before or after touring the station and World War I Memorial. The food was very good. I had the salmon Caesar salad and key lime pie. The station has been restored and much of the seating provides beautiful views of the architecturally dramatic interior.
