You've Been Good, Treat Yourself to Frozen Gold!Silky smooth vanilla ice cream sits snug inside a small cone that brings you back to childhood with massive chunks of cookie dough that spread about the Oreo crumb filled landscape. While in Kansas City for a month I consumed more of their "Cookie Crumbles" than I'd like to admit... 5 :) It was too affordable (circa late 2021) and too delicious to pass up. Go get you some.
We didn’t eat here but it’s extremely rare to find good customer service now days. We were sitting in here while waiting for our pizza at Fat Sully’s and the worker behind the counter was super nice to us asking if we needed anything while we were waiting even though we weren’t customers there. She checked on us twice and spoke again when we were leaving. Very appreciative of good customer service.
When will you all re-open?
The fudge core center was disappointing (it was like 3 bites worth) . They should add waffle cones as an option. Also the paper around the cone sticks to it. Not really necessary since they give you a cone holder.
This place is amazing if you like paying $7 for a generic soft serve cone with some basic toppings. No prices on the menu is a nice touch too; it really ties the grift together.
Cute little place, but the ice cream was meh
Delicious ice cream and such a fun atmosphere. The teeny tiny sizes of the cups made it so difficult and messy to eat, though. Larger cups could make the entire experience so much better.
Completely frustrated with this place. We have been twice now. The first time their website and FB page said they were open but they were not. The girl inside did acknowledge we were there and pointed to the hand written sign that said “open at 3”. The second time was today, again, pages say they are closed but can do carry out at the pizza window. My husband stood by the window and watched multiple employees goofing off and making pizzas. Many of them walk right by, looked at him and never addressed him. They then came out the back/side carrying pizzas, not one acknowledged us. You can never get anyone to answer the phones either. The only reason we’ve even gone here is because they are the few that have vegan options. We won’t be going back. Not sure if their ice cream is good because we never got to try it.
Okay, so the location and decor is amazing... but the ice cream was honestly not good. We ate about half of it, and just felt blah. They were out of vanilla, and had no fruity flavors other than something with fruity pebbles. We went with a mint chocolate one, and it was almost more salty then sweet in my opinion. At first I liked it! It seemed more adult then most places, but half way through i just could not finish it. It was way too salty, and lacked any specific flavor. The service was great though, and we liked the atmosphere- so I gave it three stars nevertheless! It might be for some people, but I could barley get through half while sharing it!
A Less Than Expected Experience.1.The staff was really unfriendly/rude.2.Two of the ice cream creations we ordered were almost inedible, the taste and textures were so weird. We took our KCAI student daughter to Frozen Gold on our 2 day visit. It was an unfortunate choice.
