I was having a terrible, emotional morning. My uncle had passed a couple hours prior and other issues in my life were occurring as well. I decided to go grab a coffee and drive around for a little to distract myself. I ordered a coffee in the drive thru and after ordering, realized I had left my card for payment at home. The poor barista employee met me at the window and I looked like a mess and apologized for forgetting my card and asked if we could just forget the order. A man (employee) quickly heard what I said and gave me the coffee anyways. They were probably slightly annoyed and just wanted the coffee gone, but they were so nice to me about it, not realizing I had needed someone kind at that time. So, thank you.
I think today is my last time going to this place. They were great except they always charge me 3 different price for the same drink I regularly get. If I don’t come here regularly I wouldn’t have known any difference with pricing. It’s ok if you guys raise your price but stick to it don’t charge me 3 different price everytime I get the same drink I regularly get. This happens multiple times in the past and I have never said anything and I said something to the lady today and she didn’t even care, she said “I got it” but still charge me .50 extra. It’s not about the extra few cents but if you are going to raise your price it’s fine but you guys always go back and forth with 3 different pricing with the same same size and drink I always get. I don’t know if you guys just punch random buttons when you can’t find it or something but it’s literally annoying.

Quiche was so tasty! Got the bacon and chive! Cookie Butter Latte was delicious as well! Drive through only but fast service and very friendly workers!

I’ve been getting coffee at Friendly Bean for over 10 years. Easily one of the best coffee shops in KC, Homemade pastries, great staff and the best coffee. They are constantly showing off new combinations.Today I tried a Curry Ginger Latte. How was it? It was great! Never would I have put those together, but another home run for the Friendly Bean!
Best coffee in Kansas City hands down. Wide selection. Friendly staff. I haven't had anything on the menu that was always delicious.
