Damn good. Not your typical KC BBQ. Interesting sides. Good brisket-cut thick more like what you might get in Texas. Good service. Fries are top notch.
Meh. Meat was nothing special, dare I say bland? *Full disclosure, I eat my meat plain, sans sauce.* I prefer Jack Stack or Q39 over this BBQ. It was Better than Gates though! Their Jumbalya was tasty. As always, Tell’em OuttaTown Tony sent you!
Best BBQ and friendliest staff in Kansas City. My wife and I had them cater our wedding in 2017, and every one of our out of town guests always bring it up in conversation.
The spicy beans were incredible! I would come back just for those. All of the smoked meats were good, but the ribs were pretty bland. The family running the place was super nice. They open a little bit earlier than some of the other places in town so it’s nice if you are trying to get an earlier lunch.

I've always loved Danny's. Their BBQ is good and their sides are fresh made not frozen and from a bag like so many places. They serve alcohol also if you enjoy a beer with your Q as I do. Prices are in line with other BBQ restraunts but the portions are better. Make sure to check the hours of operation and enjoy.
The food here is very good.I have ordered the combo to try 3 meat. The chicken, ribs and sausage were super duper yum. Soft and juicy!Staff were great!I did not wait long for the food to be served.Prices were just right!I would recommend this to everyone!P. S. I would appreciate more if they serve the food on a non-disposable plates. It is more eco-friendly.
I'm ashamed to write that I've lived in the metro my entire life and have never tried Danny Edwards until yesterday. It's a testament to the many excellent BBQ restaurants we have, but boy have I been missing out.I tried the brisket sandwich, the burnt ends and the chili. All were amazing. The brisket was thick sliced, tender and smoky. The onion rings and fries were obviously house cut.But the chili.... It was the best I've ever had. Huge chucks of tender pork, a few beans, carrots and an amazing meaty sauce.The staff were all polite and when I left, a man behind the counter said "I appreciate you". Amazing. Even if the food were half as good I would go back. But the food is top notch KC BBQ.I went back the next day and got a slab. They didn't disappoint. Large ribs that were perfectly smoky with lots of meat.Great people, great atmosphere and stellar food make Danny Edwards a can't miss stop.
My husband is a huge KC BBQ fan. So whenever we make the trip from Omaha he does a lot of research to ensure we’re hitting the best spots. Today we visited Danny’s for the first time. The service was wonderful and the staff was incredibly kind. And the food was outstanding! My personal favorite was their house sandwich and the onion rings. Also super impressed with the sides. Usually sides are an after thought at a BBQ restaurant but here they put a lot of love into the sides as well. Personal favorites are the potato salad and baked beans. Lastly we had our 9 month old son with us. They were so welcoming and accommodating. It was greatly appreciated.
Great food. I got the Burnt Ends and my boyfriend had the small slab of ribs. Perfectly cooked. The rib meat just fell off the bone. The sides were amazing too. I highly recommend this place.
