We 3 were upstairs at 7:00pm and it was a bit chilly. Service and food were excellent. We received prompt service and had a very attentive server.

I love this restaurant! The food is fantastic and the service is wonderful.

Good service, tasty food, and great wine. Will definitely be back. The steak medallions are some of the best I've ever had.

Coopers Hawk is one of my favorite restaurants in KC. Wine tasting followed by a delicious lunch. The staff always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is always clean, ambiance is good. You can’t go wrong here.

We had reservations at 6:15 we did not get our entrees until 8:00 after reaching out to a manager inquiring about our order. Worst service ever.

The service was really good, attentive but not pushy. It is very noisy, almost can’t carry on conversation, it was a Friday night though but if your looking for a quiet romantic dinner this probably isn’t your best pick. All of the food was good except the Brussel sprout appetizer. The sauce was good but the sprouts were not the best. I had the surf and turf. The flavor was very good but make sure to order a little rarer than what you would normally order. The filet medallions were ordered medium and they were very close to well done. Overall is was a very good meal.

Birthday celebration was acknowledged and nicely recognized

Justin in the bar area did great as usual for us!! Great experience and thanks for all the great service we had! Keep it up! Strong work!

I want to start this by saying that this was my first time at Cooper's Hawk. I knew they did wine tastings and sold wine and that they were on the plaza where Capitol Grill used to be. Growing up in Kansas City I had a higher expectation simply because they were on the plaza. I had made reservations for 7pm and we we're running late but we arrived right at 7pm and then waited 30 minutes to be seated. When we entered the restaurant we were not greeted by a host but instead a crowd of people, some shopping and some tasting and it was chaos! It took us a minute of wandering to find the host who promptly checked us in and when I asked her how long it would be she simply said "we just need to clear a couple tables and it should only be a few moments". I was satisfied until I realized it had been 15 minutes and I would have asked for an update then but my wife urged me too wait a few more minutes. At 20 I had to ask how much longer, that's when I received the same answer as before. So at this point I have no clue, we could have gotten a sampling in the time we waited. That's issue#1. Issue two was that this place has the worst ambience you could possibly ask for. I felt that we were at some regular pub it was so loud. The waitress was fantastic! That's the only saving grace. The food was mediocre. We had the pork belly tostada appetizer and it sounded delicious. When we received it it looked fantastic but the taste was just lacking. The pork belly wasn't crisp and the taste of the pork belly overtook everything else it just need a little more cilantro or something like some citrus to brighten it up. Then we received our entrees. My wife had the shrimp salad and I had the gnocchi. Both were good sized portions but again the flavor and the quality of food was just lacking for the price. Overall, I'm just disappointed that this experience that I expected to be a little more high class by the way it's sold and presented was less than that.

The food was great and the restaurant has great ambience. This is always one of our favorite restaurants
