Our new go to Mexican. Love the Alambres plate or Fajitas. Great enchiladas, chips, hot sauce and cheese dip. We've had exceptional service every time and the prices are fantastic.
Chelly's is one of our favorite family go to places. The margaritas are on point! Their food is delicious and I can't even pick a favorite menu item cause I love everything I have tried. My parents who have recently passed, loved this place as well. Love local businesses and love to give them our support!
This cafe used to be one of my favorite places to frequent. I had visited almost weekly for approximately 15 years prior to the pandemic. On this most recent visit, the quality of the food and service had really declined and unfortunately I can no longer recommend dining here. Food (including chips and salsa) tasted bland, flavorless, and not fresh like the entrees I used to enjoy years ago. Table service was also marginal. There are many other Mexican restaurants throughout the city that far surpass Chelly's now. Hopefully Chelly's owner/management will step up and be able to improve the food and service to the standards they once used to provide to patrons.
Very nice atmosphere with a variety of other fellow diner's.*The restaurant was clean and casual with plenty of elbow room.*The wait staff was great all work together rather well.*I personally did not enjoy my meal plate. It was not even par, but that's just my opinion.*We ordered cheese enchiladas and the tamale plate. Both were meh.*However the salsa was sensational! We blended both standard and hot together... Nailed it. Gonna have to get the salsa again for sure.
Food was adequate. Service was poor. When tab was presented (party of 2), it already included a 15% gratuity and the tax was on the total. Worst part was that the tab did not indicate anything about the tip being already included and taxed.

I come here semi-regularly (once weekly) and the food and drinks are delicious and consistent, the staff are friendly and very sweet, and the atmosphere is relaxed, but cultured. 10/10 recommend this to anyone wanting a FANTASTIC Mexican meal in/around Waldo!!
I had an extraordinary experience and time with my family here. Always a good time! The staff here are efficient and helpful. They treat everyone with respect! I love their white cheese dip queso or you can upgrade it to a fundido dip. The menu is easy to understand, no hidden information. They have a bar and drinks. I have never ordered anything I didn't like. Definitely give this place a visit

I have been here several times. Chellys does great with Fajitas!! Got the steak version - $12 BUCKS!! Lovin’it!! Delicioso!!
