Delicious! Pho has flavor + lots of fresh toppings like sprouts & cilantro. The menu is diverse. Can’t go wrong with any choice and the price is right too.
Great Vietnamese food. It's a must stop when coming to KC!!!! We always get a couple of sandwiches to take home also. Great selection and friendly owners.
I’ve been coming here with my family for years, even since the old location. I’ve never had a bad experience. The owners are so friendly and the food comes out very fast. It’s a good “hidden gem”. My favorite is the grilled pork banh mi - I’ve lived in so many places but I always come back here when I’m in town. The spring rolls are huge and taste delicious. 11/10!
Ordered a banh mi and requested mayo instead of pate.The person taking the order seemed confused and almost hesitant to make the change, she then asked if spicy mayo was okay.I'm guessing they only carry spicy mayo?It's not uncommon for banh mi to have mayo or butter instead of pate.I ordered the salty lemonade, which had been described to me as a margarita without booze.It was awful.My coworker had the regular lemonade and it seems like it's made from powder, the drink was oddly hot as the ice cubes were trying to cool it.Maybe they use hot water to dissolve their concentrate, but it tasted terrible.I didn't drink it after the first sip.The bread they used was not the usual baguette, it had too much bread to filling ratio and it was not toasted.Really skimpy on the filling, and even though they put spicy mayo on it, it was very dry.It was missing pickled daikon.My coworkers dish was the short rib special, it looked incredible greasy and overall underwhelming.
Decent food, great prices, generous portions... However meat in both dishes was definitely on the dry side.
Unassuming little place, but not to be underestimated. The food was excellent with huge portion size and extremely reasonable prices. The spring rolls could be a meal by themselves and are plenty to share as an appetizer. The traditional combination banh mi on the baguette was excellent. The bread was warm and crusty on the outside and soft and fluffy on the Inside. The fillings were fresh and excellent quantity. The sandwich was overflowing with substance and flavor. The bubble tea combo of taro and coconut was just a bit sweet, refreshing and helped cool the heat of the jalapeños on the sandwich. I'm here from out of town for work and will DEFINITELY be back before I leave.
The food was good as I ate it and I liked the environment. The issue started when I purchased some Pork Belly spring rolls to go. After eating them I began to feel violently ill. I've been throwing up for 3 days and am now going to the emergency room. I had no idea it was this place until my little sister called and told me she felt the same after having a few bites of my food. I've not been able to keep anything down, I've been constantly dizzy, and have been running an extremely high fever. IF YOU GO HERE PLEASE CHECK THAT YOUR MEAT IS COOKED PROPERLY!!!! It's a nice cheap place to eat, but the hospital trip took away all positives I experienced there.
Not clean. Also, they tried charging for carry out boxes without informing us that we would be charged. When we asked why we were charged, the young woman tried to start an argument by saying that we have to take it to go now that we have already been sitting. I don’t really understand why we were charged an extra 2.00 for this but it was unfortunate. However, the food was decent. The sandwich didn’t have fresh vegetables unfortunately. I have seen much higher quality Vietnamese food in kc for much cheaper. I will not be returning, but it was worth a try for a Tuesday date day. I would be careful with the person in the photo she has a bad temper. She stared at us the entire meal and it was very uncomfortable.
The best Pho Combination and Chinese BBQ pork Pho in Kansas City hands down. Chicken Curry Soup with steam rice and banh mi sandwich is excellent too. I have spent more money here than I care to admit, and that says a lot as the prices are good too . I always have amazing time at this place. The food is very good. All together a top tier eating experience.
