We are never disappointed. Great food service and staff. They make you feel at home.
Service was sort of slow, but not bad. Our room was extremely humid for some reason.
This was one of the rougher experiences Iâve had here. It started with our server- he either had too many tables to take care of or he just wasnât doing a great job. We were constantly waiting for drinks, or for the table to be cleared. Luckily we had some extra room to stack some dishes at the end but he still didnât fully clear it. It seemed that our food spent some time in the window after it was done. Everything was a bit⦠dry, and crusty. Just not the normal Bucca experience we typically have.
We ordered the Quatro El Forno like usual, however the stuffed shells had no cheese or sauce on them at all. And one of the manicotti and one of the cannelloni also had no cheese or sauce. They were more interested in arranging them fancy, and not making sure they were covered. So when baked, they dried out. Also, we had the worst waitress in history.
We visit Buca each time we are in KC and have always had good service and great food! The ambiance fits the old school Italian restaurant feel and the separate rooms keep the noise level down so you can easily have a conversation. Over multiple visits we have always been happy with our food selection, I would recommend the Antipasto Salad and Mozzarella Garlic bread with whatever pasta dish you choose. I keep telling myself to get a bowl of the salad for my meal but don't want to miss out on the pasta!

Great service. The place was full of character. We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the pictures. The food was just ok. With that being said I am Italian and love to cook and live in St. Louis where we have The Hill. Great place for a large group. Portions are big.
Start with the atmosphere, amazing. Fun, nostalgic, somewhat magical feeling. Everyone who worked there was wonderful. Walking into the kitchen through the garage was interesting, but rather cool. Our waitress was a pure delight. We started with the buca triple appetizer, fri d calamari, fried mozzarella and spicy shrimp. Then our salad, there was enough salad to feed a fleet of folks. My daughter exclaimed it was the best salad she had eaten. I will agree it was good! Then arrived the spaghetti and meatballs. Holy cow!! Best I have eaten, and I have eaten a ton of pasta!! I highly recommend it to anyone. The family style service was excellent!!
Bring your appetite cause those portions are nuts!! The atmosphere is amazing and the food was perfect. I had great customer service with the perfect balance to attentive and allowing us to enjoy our experience.It IS loud both in sight and sound....so if you're prone to sensory overload you might opt for carry out.
Delicious, Fresh pasta, family portions that don’t disappoint. Family atmosphere that screams Italian family home. Friendly staff, hot fresh food cold beer and a full bar. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Will not be disappointed.
