One of my favorite places in Kansas City...Brookside Barrio!! I'm a little biased due to living in the area...but the drinks are strong and the food is fantastic. I would recommend any dish in the pictures posted. Stop by during their happy hour for great deals!
Barrio is one of my favorite spots in KC! Great patio, drinks, and the food does not disappoint. This past time Kylie was our server and to say she matched our table’s energy is an understatement! Awesome service & down to earth people.
My friend and I have been here twice and had pretty much the same experience both times. The server we had was super inattentive and all the other servers paid no mind to the fact that our drinks were empty and we had been sitting there for like 15 minutes before we got our check. We had to ask a host to get our server for it the first time we went and the second time my friend had to get up and go ask her. Food is decent, service is pretty eh.
This evening was our first time trying brookside Barrio and the was ok, I wasn't a big fan of the garlic sauce on the burrito. The sauce on the corn is really good but the corn was really hard to bite into when it's not supposed to be that hard. Now, the chips and salsa was best thing I ate here.
I shop across the street at the Consentino and always wonder about this restaurant. It was my husband and I 11year anniversary and we decided to have lunch here. We were sadly disappointed. The only thing that was good was the pickled onions. There was nothing on my husband veggie nachos and what ever seasoning that is on the chips is too much. Will not be returning. The Red Door down the street is a Berber option.
Atmosphere was perfection. Chips and salsa A+. Service has a lot to be desired. I feel like I made every effort to be kind, but she was not having it. We had a table of 7 and I really don't think she wanted us in her section. Actually she showed us over and over how much she didn't want us to be there. I watched her be nice to all the other tables. We talked to what I think was a manager. She was kind and apologized. That was it. I a guessing it was not addressed or the server made an excuse. I probably won't go back. I feel like I wasted $200.
Delicious margaritas. Gorgeous atmosphere inside and outside; we sat on the patio. The food was tasty and seasoned well. Best chips and salsa in the city thus far!Jessica was attentive, affable, and a joy.
Its about ten degrees outside. We sat on the enclosed patio. The patio heaters kept it warm enough I took off my coat. It's Tuesday evening. Normally a slow shift in the restaurant bizz. This placed was packed. Service was great. Food came out hot in a timely manner even though the restaurant was extremely busy. I had a Pork Burrito. Huge portion. Pork was fantastic. I highly recommend this awesome restaurant.
Very tasty vegetarian burrito! Wonderful outdoor seating with a fire pit/fire divider that kept us all toasty even in cold weather.
Good food, great service, lovely fireplace. Our server Shaza was great & fun. Great ambience - it's January and loving the fireplace and atmosphere outside with margs and a great taco salad.
