Best steak and all integrated farm to fork. Great bar staff (we sat downstairs at the bar). Not the cheapest but worth it. Would highly recommend.
We had a delicious meal with steak so tender, you didn’t need a knife. Excellent and friendly service and the chef visited our table to be sure we were pleased with the meal. Cream brûlée was the dessert of choice. Great selection of tap and bottle beers and nice wine list.
We arrived at 7 for our firm 7:15 pm reservation for 8 that the staff (3) were completely confused about and made us wait 20 minutes over, until another party of 8 came in for their 7:30 pm reservation. The other party were seated right away, with no confusion, as we stood waiting another 10 plus minutes. Orders were placed for rare and medium-rare steaks then we waited. And waited. Steaks arrived in an extraordinarily well-done state. Nice little building and story without good food or service makes for this unfortunate review. "Short staffed" explains some delays, it'll never explain away burning a $45.00 steak and our Anton's experience will never justify a Fight for $15 surcharge.
Anton’s was so good. Visited here (stumbled on it really!) when in town from Vegas. Being from Vegas I’ve been to a great many steakhouses, so I’ll mention what I liked about this place that set it apart from your average.1. Every cut offers a grass fed or grain fed option. Ask your server for a recommendation on which cut to get grass fed and which to get grain so that you’re sure of what you’re ordering. Apparently there is a big difference. I was grateful to have the option.2. Great wine selection, and local beer selection. I had the “baby blue” red blend. It was excellent, If you like red wine definitely try a glass.3. I did like that the steak was not over salted, and that it was not over cooked. These are problems I’ve encountered at a lot of steakhouses. They served the steaks with a side of bone marrow infused butter and this adds a smoky, savory flavor. Over a perfectly salted cut of meat, this made for one of the better steak experiences I’ve had thus far. Also worth mentioning, our bartender and server Jodie was a pleasure to meet and had so much knowledge about the place and all of the dishes, great recommendations, and convinced me to get the chocolate cake for dessert which was downright incredible.I will most certainly visit Anton’s on every return trip to Kansas City from here on out. It was a Great choice!
Atmosphere was wonderful. Salad was great, real bacon in it was a plus. Baked potato was delicious & the steak was FABULOUS. In my opinion everything was a little overpriced. Each item is sold separately. But glad we took someone's advice & gave it a try. Overall great experience, I would eat there again for a special occasion only, just due to the pricing.
I only stopped in here for lunch to get some to-go dessert since the other restaurant I had ordered lunch at did not have a lunch dessert menu. On recommendation of the waitress, I got the bread pudding with house-made vanilla ice cream. It did not disappoint. I got a large portion of bread pudding. It is the best bread pudding I have ever had. It had a sweet cinnamon-y flavor that I just devoured. It has raisins and thinly sliced apples in it that I mostly picked out, but those additions did not spoil it for me. And the house-made ice cream was probably the best vanilla ice cream I've ever had. I will definitely be back here to get another serving of this dessert, and maybe to check out the food menu next time.
The bar was amazing! Such great staff, and the the ox tail soup was incredibly flavorful, but the grain fed ribeye was not the best. Good quality meat, but no flavor. Solid bar though!
Cool little Hotspot located in downtown Kansas city. We got a strawberry dream. Was absolutely delicious!! Got the beef tartar appetizer. It did not disappoint. MJ and Elijahone took care of us for the night. Both are great bartenders. They have a deli that serves delicious meats. I thought it was pretty awesome!! 5 stars all day!! ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
A friend and I randomly picked this restaurant to try. We aren’t big steak eaters, so we skipped that and did burgers. The burgers were thick and juicy and the beef was so good. My friend had the rainbow carrots and they were cooked perfectly. I got the fries, which are huge. They offer many different types of beer and the atmosphere is charming. Highly recommend.
Felt welcomed right off the bat. The decor was really fun and awesome. Didn’t have reservations but they sat us fairly easily. It was a Tuesday so it wasn’t super busy. The upstairs was really fun and the wine glasses were huge! The waitress was very knowledgeable. She understood the entire menu and made suggestions. The white sangria was very delicious and fresh. The salad was served in a chilled bowl, was fresh and tasty.Steak soup was hot.The steaks were awesome. The farm to table idea is growing in popularity and it’s well worth it. The KC strip was dry aged 28 days and the filet was grass fed.The standards of medium at Anton’s are different than most of the world but at a higher end restaurant, it makes sense. They let you know and keep you informed.
