Such a great place to dine! Fun but relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful building. Courteous staff. And...the food was amazing! Loved it!

Superior bar food is a good enough reason to visit. I love the fish tacos, several of the sandwiches, and the Jalapeño Margaritas! But the thing that makes Tropicana a gem is the service. The kid at the door takes no flack, although much is given. He runs a tight ship! Bar tenders are efficient and friendly and mix great drinks! Table service is fabulous too! I love a well run establishment!
Our daughter recommended this restaurant for lunch - she has enjoyed it several times over the four years she has lived in the area for medical school. It was a great choice! The burgers are excellent and served with all the fixings….and a mountain of fries which were great, too. Great service - good location - and great eats. Highly recommend.
Really like this place but after your objections to a small business trying to start out and whining about what you did vs other people I won't be back. Small people starting off need help and support from other business we all start off small and work our way up. Just my thought as a local customer.

First time going here and just wasn't impressed with the food nor the staff. Came for a Birthday celebration and they had a difficult time seating all of us, which is understandable considering it is a very small place, but the staff could have been a tad bit more helpful with trying to seat us. It took over an hour for our food to come out. My husband and I ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer, they came out soaked in grease and had a mixture of other fried foods in with them. The batter was good, but way too much grease. I ordered a salad as my main dish and my husband had a cheeseburger. He enjoyed his cheeseburger and fries, but was not too happy about the hour wait to get it. We may have just gone on an off night, but it isn't a place we would ever go back to on our own.
Food is pretty consistent and good. It is large portions and only complaint is couldnt have i ice cold beer on tap due to being on the clock. Chicken strips and fries , fish tacos are amazing, cant ever go wrong with BBQ burger sub onion rings instead of fries. Will continue to go back as long as I can afford it.
Great atmosphere...a little busy & can get loud.Service was great & helpful. Food was tasty...medium prices...good strong drinks.
I’m frustrated with my favorite restaurant in Joplin tonight. We ordered our food minutes 50 minutes ago and just got it. Just a sad way to spend what little time I have off work with my wife. Come on Tropicana you’re better than this.
