Employee was friendly.Food wasn't hot at all. Fish and chicken was cold the mashed potatoes was luke warm. Fried okra cold.We ate it but everything should have been thrown out all ready. I'm a general manager for a restaurant and I wouldnt have served any of that food out.
Be careful for your order being wrong or missing something each time. It's great food but each time our family goes there, we get home and something is always missing. Whether it be sides, gravy, honey or tartar sauce. 9/10 it's missing. We have been checking before we leave but today we ordered a dozen rolls with honey. We thought we shouldn't have to check it bc it was 1 item we were ordering. We get home and now we just have dry rolls that are probably just going to not be eaten now. I'm sick of wasting my money.
We just waited nearly 25 minutes in the drive through AFTER placing our order, then finally when we pulled up to the window a girl opens the window to just then tell us they're out of some of the stuff we ordered now and offered a substitute, which was slightly annoying but I get it. Then about 7 minutes later she comes back and tells us they're also now out of mashed potatoes... so now we're 32 minutes in and they're suddenly out of 3/4 of what we ordered. We just asked for our money back and to speak to the manager , the boy, yes BOY with braces and a manbun says, "what can I help you with" when I tell him has occurred he does the whole eyebrow raise face that pretty much expresses, "And your problem is?" He then goes on to say he didn't know they were out of these things till just now so they couldn't have told us sooner, this whole staff were children who decided they didn't want to work past 8pm since they close at 9pm is what just happened. So if it wasn't already made food, suddenly they were out. Thank you so much for wasting our time and making it to where we now have to go somewhere else to wait. Btw the car in front of us didn't get their food either and I'm sure the 3cars behind us received the same treatment. Having literally a boy child 'managing' your store is a terrible choice, this kid has no respect, lacked customer service and empathy, lacks work wthic, and has ZERO leadership skills. Worst experience I've had at a drive through.
We arrived a full hour before closing and they had no food. On top of that the black haired waitress was so high on drugs that she couldn't fill the orders with out almost falling asleep standing up. When you talked to her she was so spaced out she took several seconds just to respond.
Would have been a 5 because Charlie's Chicken is generation's of meals have been eaten there.It looked as though 3 were working their buts off while others stood in or by a little office to socialize waited about 10 minutes no one else in line while continuing to chit chat, and no one took my order. So I walked out, and went through the drive thru!! Thank you to the polite young woman working the drive thru around 5:30pm.
My brother and sister in law were here from Colorado. The Charlie's in Miami closed. We were all hungry for Charlie's. They didn't disappoint. Great food. Friendly staff. Would recommend.
We were there 5-09-2022. I know how to figure %s. 10% off of 17.94=1.79. When I questioned that she took off only 22 cents, I was told that the 10% off is only for the last item ordered, which is always a drink. We quit there once and now the new owner is doing the same thing. It's not the money, but the principle of that policy. We won't be back. RIP OFF.
Omaha Nebraska TravelerI give this place a 3 because the meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes had no flavor whatsoever except for the ketchup on top of the meatloaf. I love all three of these foods and cook them often however I also understand that salt is not an emphasis in restaurant cooking much anymore for health reasons I suppose.The service was excellent and I would recommend this place again however keep in mind you may need to season your food after you receive it. I think the restaurant just has too many selections to focus on a small selection of items with pretty decent taste quality. Sometimes too much is not good as in this case.The chicken chunk was great being that's what they are known for that's the only thing I will get when I go back there.
Food is excellent, lots of sides to choose from. However, the service is the worst! Mostly dinner time! The great food is offset by how awful the service is. I even called the Manager just to let him know about how bad the service is, not just one time, it's multiple times! The Manager just made excuses for them, everything from they had a bad day, to well with how life is nowadays-pandemic and being short staffed etc. I hung up on him. Not even an apology! Ugh!
The only good Charlie's there is. Our food was super fresh, and delicious, as always.Will be sure to make another trip up to Joplin on a Saturday soon, so I can have some of those AMAZING chicken and dumplings. Yum!
