Amazing food, great atmosphere and the locals eat here. These folks are from NY so they know what NY style pizza is.3 options to choose from and great wood fired garlic bread.To watch them make your pizza, including the hand toss in the air, was even fun.
This place is SO GOOD. My husband loves pizza and we were only in Joplin for one night so I thought this would be a good dinner stop. Wow we were not disappointed. We tried two different types of pizza - New York and Neapolitan. Both were good but my Bonnie & Clyde Neapolitan style was amazing. I loved the sauce, the crust, and the little hint of sweet with the drizzle on top. Dessert was also fantastic. We had a cannoli and gelato, both of which were amazing. I don’t think you can go wrong here, everything we had was fabulous. By far the best pizza I’ve ever had.
The pizza itself is fine, but I've docked the place 3 stars because ordering from them is a totally preventable mess. My experience was 1) call and receive an automated message saying that I have to order online from one of two places 2) go to one of the two places to see to find out that Carmine's is closed on the weekend 3) check their website (the other online method) to find that ... they're not closed on the weekend! Then 4) place my order and arrive to find that they could only make one of the two pizzas I ordered. Instead of calling to offer to make a different one they just offered me in-store credit, which while better than nothing, is one of the worst in-the-moment solutions.In sum, if they thought a good 10 minutes about customer experience they'd be twice the restaurant they are.
Everything was perfect. Top notch pizza, top notch desserts and apps. Thank you for being excellent, will definitely be back. Nice to have something good like I used to get up in Philly around here. Definitely a hidden gem!
We ordered the The Rughetta - mozzarella, shaved parmesan, prosciutto, arugula, tomatoes and olive oil- It was delicious. You can order the different "flavors of pizza" in NY, Detroit or Neapolitan style. We chose and recommend the NY style. It was very fresh with quality cheese. Will be back
Their pizza is so delicious. Everything about it, crust, toppings, sauce, cheese is just incredible. And the staff is awesome. Snag a slice or a whole pie. You're taste buds will thank you.
Besides a beautiful waitress the food and service were also great. The wood fired Neapolitan Wise Guy pizza was an amazing combination of slightly charred crust with a nice crunch , refreshing sauce and fresh toppings.

Wonderful time. Delicious food. I love that their gluten free crust has a chewy edge to it rather than the thin gluten free crust everyone else in the area seems to have. :)
